Update: Yes, Varric is not an LI, along with Aveline. That being said, it doesn't mean we can't flirt with either of them, unless a dev tells us otherwise... And then there's the interest of bringing Varric back for DA3. Now let's look forward to that and keep on campaigning, people.

As far as I'm aware there is no minimum warning requirement. I do give warnings if I think a thread can be salvaged. I locked the thread after going back several pages to gauge the progression of posts. Since I saw a few dev posts in there, I figured maybe it wasn't as random as I first thought. It was though, hence the immediate lock. In the future please please approach a moderator directly with your concerns rather than create a thread to express disagreement with a decision. Thank you.

Edit: I unlocked this since you converted it into a replacement thread.

Regarding Varric as a <3LOVER<3: Even if he isn't an LI but is a companion, I bet someone would make a romance mod for him... There's one for Loghain in the works.... :wub:

(only for female human noble)

I wonder if he resembles the "pimp concept" or the "pirate concept" more... Because devs have said that he currently resembles the concept art... So which one? I like pimp Varric, it makes Cass disapprove...

LOL seriously, if you compare both, one concept art is more attractive than the other... This one is PimpVarric and this is PirateVarric

Not all concept art works too well for the actual characters though... Exhibit A: "Flaming" Zevran Arainai. Some find it sexy. I find it somewhere between Overkill and Visual Kei... Really nice tattoos though...

So I hope the devs get the better side of Varric's Concept Art applied into the game version...

That is as feasible as dividing by zero.

Though I suspect Hawke's beard might shade the chest hair in a straight up fight, at least in theory....

On a more serious note: Does anyone fear that Varric isn't as awesome as the Original Varric thread thinks he is??

But seriously, from what Mary has said about him, and from her little impromptu dialogs he really does seem like he's gonna be awesome. We'll see I suppose, but the first DA was full of awesome characters. I expect no less from the second. Writing Team I believe in youuuu :wizard:

Lovely dress though. Very er.. Awkward to move around in, I'm certain. Particularly bad for epic escape scenes from Varric's chest hair.

I don't suppose this would be a good time to mention that I'm not particularly fond of very hairy guys? :lol:
