Unless they release two+ at the same time I have a feeling it will be Bethany first. She has been the more visable of the two (outside of the forums) and in my experience it's usually the first companion/visable early party member that gets revealed first. I hope I'm wrong though!

But yes, I think it will be a battle between fangirls and fanboys. And Bethany is still likely to be first.

Dog? He is technically the first part member in some cases.

Edit: All I know is that the dwarf will be last. *shakes fist at the companion reveals*

Edit 2: Granted, Velanna was revealed after the two dwarves in awakening. But still.

Given the reaction to Varric I suspect the best way to get his fangirls even MORE interested in buying the game is to feed them/(US?!) a tiny, tiny factoid at a time. Like chinese water torture. Culminating on a trailer for him the day before the release. That seems to be the way Final Fantasy marketers keep people interested for the six years it takes for them to say "this game might be released. Maybe. But no promises." But that's also evil, so...
