You guys have probably already addressed it somewhere in this/the other thread but has there been a collective "this is what I think Varric is like" discussion yet? It's always funny to be able to look back to one place and see who was right.

No not really. It comes up in conversations sometimes. I'd have to go searching back through my posts to find the ones like that, but I posted what I thought Varric as a love interest might be like a while ago.

I think I remember that post. Sadly as I said I can't really stomach the idea of LI-Varric until we get an official green light x_x



I look forward to my "Buddy Comedy" playthrough if Varric is a trickster-type guy, his quick wit with maybe a dry, sarcastic Hawke. And I'm betting he didn't get his fortune/title/etc honestly but I think we all would agree on that.

Oh yeah I'm looking forward to being snark buddies with Varric since I just love to pick the sarcasm options. As to his fortune, he probably inherited some of it but that doesn't mean shady dealings don't run in his family.

Ohmygosh, this is so weird. I had this exact mental image the other day (including the rubber duck/dragon!) and was going to ask for someone to do it. Had I the skill, I would do it myself. I am working on another drawing, though! I did the sketch tonight and will be finishing up tomorrow.

Yeah and he's also the guy who purposely makes subtle innuendos in serious situations then slyly eyes you to see if he is breaking your composure.

I think it would fit with his theme of telling tall tales about Hawke. Even if he doesn't sing, something like that could boost party morale.
