Everytime I think about Varric telling Hawke's story, I think about Clopin telling Quasimodo's story in Disney's adaption of The Hunchback of Notre Dame, j/s.
I can totally see Varric using puppets and maybe a flashy dance move or two to help the story along. Maybe he even makes the puppets beat on unsuspecting spectators, *cough*Cassandra*cough*, to emphasize particularly grueling battles?
I don't think Cassandra's sanity would be able to handle it though. Varric's enough trouble without imitating Clopin's brand of story telling.
Edit: Crap, now I can't get the song Bells of Notre Dame out of my head... D: Thanks a lot.

I'm sure she's already insane near the end anyways.

Based off the condition of Cassandra's eyes in the PAX demo images I've seen... I sense a major mental breakdown happening half-way through Varric's story.

If I had confidence in my artistic skill, I'd draw Varric in Clopin's jester costume, but alas. Although it'd be something I'd like to see.

"Pardon me, folks!"
*Varric leans over from his throne, trying to see around the lady that's so rudely appeared in front of him*
"Not to just blatantly advertise, but I created a new group all about Dragon Age 2 Theories. With plenty of speculation and possible spoilers! If anyone would like to join? Thank you!"
"We now return you to your regularly scheduled chest hair."
*Pops out*
*Varric blinks, then shakes his head.*
"Kids these days."

The baby thread was around again, do you think Varric could be a potential father to his and Lady Hawke's lovechildren? Half-dwarves are rare though.

Hellooooooo Varric Pour Homme, unpony-tailed.

(On second glance, he looks a bit like a dwarf Josh Holloway in them Davidoff Water ads
Unsurprisingly, reactions to the ad are predictable...

Oh demipower Aimo, do you know how LOVED you are? Can you feel the love?
Feel it!
And who mentioned the donut-necklace before? I second his/her question. What's with the donut?

Everyone's got to have a necklace or scarf or collar or something to cover the seam where the neck of their model meets the body. Why Varric's takes the form of a golden donut on a chain, I am not entirely certain. I like to imagine he got that thing as a gift from one of his aunts or uncles, and he wears it so that he doesn't run into them and get asked, "Why aren't you wearing that necklace I gave you for your naming day? Didn't you like it?" "Yes, Aunt Brigid, I love it. I just... misplaced it. Darn. Look at that! Forget my own head next."

That's very interesting :0 And clever!... and... sweet, sweet, distracting bling...
I forsee the mass purchase of O-rings and gold spray paint when the cosplaying begins.
Also, in the sad depths of my imagination I guessed that the necklace had belonged to someone who owed him money or something, and as one last insult talked him out of his necklace. I... don't imagine him as evil, just able to talk someone into doing something so fast that by the time it's done the person doesn't realize they've signed their business over to him.

ANYWAY. My gawd, Aimo, this? This is glorious. It's also really funny that you say this because I've been looking at Josh Holloway a LOT lately due to my wanting to base my Lady Hawke off of Evangeline Lilly. So I've been bombarded with stuff like this on Tumblr.

I dunno, a quick little something I drew up out of boredom after a bath of my own. The problem is how much redder his hair is on my PC as opposed to my laptop. Bah, I say. Bah.
