Question to all the people who are sort-of against the idea of dwarf romances, though. Why? Do you think it would be unsuccessful? Doesn't the success of the Garrus / Tali romances prove that even if you think it won't work, there would be a lot of fans for a dwarf (*cough*Varric*cough*) romance?
Height, mostly. They look like hairy children. Like I said, Zevran was weird enough. Some humans are that short, sometimes. Generally, though, height correlates with age, and it's hard for me to seperate the two. Besides that, they are short as a species. They'll never get taller, and they're always child-sized.
It's relative to my own height of course, but people that short are like children to me. This option would be more acceptable if I myself could be a dwarf--it's easier to accept when you're the PC and everything is taller and the camera is at your eye-level. As a dwarf in Orzammar, you don't seem small at all. But as a person who's only ever human? Ehh.
Hm. Why the qunari romance, then? Is it because as the human you'd be shorter? I wonder if a qunari would take one look at a human and think the same

To me qunari are less human-lookin than dwarves, it'd be a bigger leap to be with a giant grey man with horns than a dude that looks like a stout, hairy human.
I dunno. Height, for me, isn't the only thing that determines who is a child or not. Dwarves are developed and have (obvious) secondary sex characteristics, so even though they're short I wouldn't look at a female dwarf, for example, and think she's childlike.
