I'm pretty sure it's possible to write a program/script/I-don't-know to generate them randomly,.

Oh, I see things like this being possible.

It's just we'd be getting stuff like this and then the trolls would be praising how beautiful Varric is.

After watching the Alistair-darkspawn video on youtube, that picture doesn't look all that bad.

If Varric is an LI, then hell yeah it'd be great; I've always appreciated that Bioware tries to include the romance feature in when they can as an optional RP experience (mandatory, in my case), and my favourite treatment of this so far is in Origins.

If not, it's an even more telling sign that the DA2 team is made up of sadists to have designed such a visually impressive and interesting character design/concept with a likeable personality (so far) but denying it to inclined-players ^o^;; But no biggie, there's always other digital fishes in the pixelated sea come gametime :D

(Ironically, in Mass Effect 2 I really liked the weirdos ie. Thane and Garrus's romance paths, with Apple Pie Jacob being my least favourite...FemShep's out-of-nowhere sleazy personality and "The Priiiiize" among the chief reasons @_0;;)

But I am here to post moar Varric, so let's get to that!

Riven AM is a real sweetie and drew a gift for my birthday yesterday with Varric-goodness in it, guest-starring my Lady Aeducan. I am pimping it here because it is my present to do as I wish ^o^

Also, tweaked the VARRIC Pour Homme pic yesterday to include reactions from M!Brosca and Leliana :) A dwarf dude's gotta feel inadequate...

What lizard man?

Thane Krios from ME2 probably.

Hell yeah.

I wasn't a big fan of shooty-pew-pew games for a long time and couldn't make it through ME1... but then I saw a picture of Thane and was like... alright, I'll give it another shot. Now tied with the Metal Gear series for my favorite games. Sooooo... greeen.... and tight outfit... and green...  I could write TL;DR amounts on Thane but basically he's my favorite color and sounds like a motor.

@ Anarya: WOOBIE INDEED <3 He's almost more woobie than Alistair.

From what we've heard of his
voice, all we've got is "deep" and sort of "scratchy." And he's not
voiced by Steve Blum.

AH STEVE. When you know who he is and what he sounds like, you hear him EVERYWHERE. Eeeverywheeerrreeee. He's good at what he does but... everywherreeee.

LMAO. Man, Varric is getting so much play already x3

Poor Brosca. It's just easier to accept that some people are blessed with the chest hair of a god. Don't fight it xP

Steve Blum is like Yuri Lowenthal. EVERYWHERE, and the moment a character voiced by him opens his mouth you can tell immediately. Jonny Yong Bosch too, his voice has even *less* range.

[Is one of those people that wishes Kasumi was an li]

Her heart belongs to Jacob, it seems. I really liked her because she gave the feeling that people were actually interacting off-screen, talking to her about things, telling her Shepard-in-bed stories, discussing the quality of food... gave a bit more life to things.

Varric as LI... can't really wrap my head around the idea. I mean, he's a smirky devil, but he'd have to be really pro to tell a story and not constantly go off on tangents about Hawke's "redeeming qualities." It could go many ways: he could be a serious storyteller and tell it like it is, he could derail once or twice over the course of the game to mention her fine derriere, which would be hilarious, but any more than that and it would definitely feel like the joke has been played out so move along sir.

As for Jonny... I don't mind his omnipresence because he makes some delicious fight noises. I don't think anyone else sounds so cool kicking digital butt.

I haven't gotten a chance to play yet, but I thought he voiced Finn? Maybe he just wasn't able to recreate the Sandal voice(if he did voice him this time around)

As for Jonny... well, if he doesn't speak, I don't mind lmao. But every time I turn on Adult Swim on Saturdays he voices like, half the characters when they air anime. Every time I load up a JRPG he's at least 23234 different characters. You can't use him for a main character and then a major NPC and then random NPCs buzzing around towns because his voice never changes. It's weird.

I agree, his conflict was also extremely sudden and external. It seems like everyone has daddy issues but he had put it behind him until Miranda came in and pushed some buttons. A misguided son I could bring myself to care about immediately, Garrus like, "losing his way" after Shep Death I felt responsible for so I wanted to help him... but... meh. Jacob. He also took a little more coaxing than other characters to talk so it was easy to leave him alone. And the unwanted use of "talk" as a euphemism by Shep was jarring.

"Deep and scratchy..." makes me think of the voice of Monkey from Enslaved. Andy Serkis, I think. He also did Gollum, so HUGE range there, but also an actor in the multimedia sense so that may mean $$$...

Here'ssssssssssssssssssss Ugra!
Female.  City Elf.  Blushing Bride.  Yeah, she's all that. And more!

See her in all her glory at:  http://social.biowar...20/index/1203/9
Her portfolio starts about halfway down the page.   She was declared the Consenus Winner of the "Ugliest Character Contest" by a wide margin, and has her own "Ugra Fan Club" here on the BSN at: http://social.bioware.com/group/747/  Posted Image

Since there are a lot less fanboy tears, those are dehydrated and turned into a powder you sprinkle on top of the coffee. Like cinnamon, except with more woe and crushing disappointment.

Wait?!?  Our tears are "like cinnamon"?   Dave, did you hear?  We add spice!  (Or is that "a condiment"?) Posted Image

I haven't cried since 1914.
There hasn't been any mention of Varric for half a page! Even slightly more!
As the resident cleric of this online temple, I must condemn you.
And then I will condemn myself for being so cranky.

Varric save me. And please don't turn out to be Danny DeVito.
