I was somehwat bemused by the fact that the trailer thread grew by over 50 pages in the time between the conference starting and the end of the BioWare segment.



It was also like every conference I have ever dealt with in terms of the fact that it started 15 mins late...

Well, the angle was pretty awkward. There's a good chance he'll look more handsome when they don't catch him in the middle of something? I REMAIN HOPEFUL.

He looks better in the concept art than he did in the demo.

No he was on the screen behind Mike in a still image before they rolled the trailer.

Yeah he looked like a DAO dwarf. One of the ones who isn't Gorim.

I'll still love him as a character based on what we know of his personality. Just, you know...maybe not in that way.

Don't fret none ladies, he'll be that awesome, that was just the CGI trailer most expected.

EDIT: Although brief did we see any sign of the hirsute torso?

Just watched it. Disappointed in the no-Varric action although I'm hoping the Red Eye thing isn't a trailer only ability like the Grey Warden one.

There was a screen of Varric behind Mike while he was giving the presentation. Everyone's all ~disappointed~ because he's not what they were expecting. I'm just waiting for everyone to slowly drift over to the new male characters once they're announced.

Edit: He's talking. He's at an awkward angle. And he actually is a dwarf and not a small human. I really don't know what everyone else was expecting...

Will I meet romanceable characters?:
Yes. You will be able to engage in romances with certain NPCs in your party and throughout the world.

So even if Varric is a temporarily companion, or someone Hawke just meet, and so on.. he could still be a LI
...And I really hope he is more handsome than that scrrenshot behind Mike..

I'm almost certain that he will. Even if he isn't, I'm still on team Varric. I do like the idea that he very well might just stay in Kirkwall and I can romance him from afar. It seems like it could be a more logical progression, as well, considering the character.

Hm. If his chin were a bit narrower and his facial hair darker he'd look a lot better. Doesn't look terrible though.

PLUS, HE HAS THE CHEST HAIR. ALL IS RIGHT.

Seriously. The chin and the light facial hair is the only thing even slightly off. Shave off a bit of the chin, darken the stubble, and he'd be even better.

PLUS. CHEST HAIR.
