I had a similar problem with Morrigan. Granted, any and all of the following things I cite as facts or impressions could be completely wrong, but from what I understand:
* Morrigan was supposed to be a teenager, or close to it. The writing seemed to fit this.
* Claudia Black has a mature, adult voice. Which is, you know, normal for a woman in her mid-late 30s.
* The face of Morrigan's character model seems like it tries to split the difference age wise.
So I kinda found the whole character was a little... off. But that's probably just me.
Well i didn't exactly find her off, i love Claudia Black's voice and Morrigan's char but...yeah it was kinda weird. She appeared too serious for 20 years or so, because the voice was deep.
Yet there are a lot of women over 40 with girly voices (Dolly Parton) and a lot of women under 30 with "man" voices xD
