The Sean Connery of dwarves?

Varric IS sean connery. I mean:

Watch any old Bond movie. Sean's got enough hair to almost reach Varric's level.

Aimo: I'm... sort of tempted to make that my new desktop wallpaper. Varric's smirk, tiled across two monitors...

Dave: I am curious as to what sort of final battle you've got in mind. Myself, I'd probably make Varric square off against Duncan's beard.

Risax: I'm still here, just trapped under something heavy. In this case, codex entries. I'll emerge soon enough, squished but triumphant.

What if I told you it was even better?

You'd shatter the laws of the universe and allow the infinite, screaming minions of chaos inside. You can't top Duncan's beard! That's like dividing by zero and getting a cinnamon bagel as the result.

Mary, you need to make that your desktop. If Varric isn't an LI already, the whole team will be mesmerized and aboard the LI train immediately >:D

Especially on these forums and as for this thread... DoC said it best:

VARRIC DEMANDED IT.

Anyways, I'm putting my money on the final boss being Dr. George Washington Carver raging against the injustice of all the Nutella references.

Or create a brand new console for it.

You have to be careful Dave...you don't want it TOO awesome that you have the writers play it all the time and then we'll have to supply monsieur Gaider with more tears to keep him from tearing apart our favourite writer! :)

I'd go for one of those cheap one-game-on-a-LCD-screen-that-runs-off-a-AAA-battery-sold-in-7-11-to-keep-kiddies-quiet-on-long-road-trips things.  I may have to work on the device's name though...

I already gave him my Duncan's Beard suggestion, and if I don't mind tooting my own horn (which I really, really don't) if Dave does it, it will be more epic than anything you could possibly imagine.

Unless you don't get the joke. Then it would just be awkward.

There's actually an item ingame named after Gaider. I can't say more than that.

David, you really should make this a Project. I'm pretty sure people would be happy to work on it.

I could but I'm actually considering this one huge learning experience and I'm getting a lot of help with it already. I also tend to have these huge ideas that tend to ****** everybody off as I enjoy myself making them. I'm expecting a November - December release, to be honest.

We should really talk later about a project I'm putting a team together for.

Although, you can't actually SELL the games you make with RPG Maker.

Is it me or is the once despised body hair making a comeback? If so, allow me to say... hair-brained hypocrites.

You can sell them, as long as there's no copyrighted character/music/whatever in your game. Therefore, you can't sell a fan game.

Dave, how dare you!!! Your game is starting to sound more like Super Mass Dragon Varric Effect World Age Two... Bah! Also, How dare you change the protagonist to this Varric guy!!! Have you forgotten all the blood and sweat we sprayed on our Wardens? You have to do what we want, because we made you into what you are. We own you.

... I bet it's hack & slash too.

Anyway, Varric seems like a nice fellow. I expect some family issues, but nothing too unfortunate in his--likely--checkered past.

I had Aimo's pic as my desktop earlier today
And I don't think even the magic of Christmas could destroy Duncan's beard.
