I wouldn't say biggest fanbase, the DA:O / ME character threads have bigger fanbases. Craziest fanbase however? Certainly.

I sure as hell hope so.Russalka wrote...
We're making it really hard for them to NOT make a Varric romance happen, aren't we?
I was talking about DA 2, but yes at this moment characters like Tali and Alistair are characters that have a pretty big fan base in ME and DA:O.Dave of Canada wrote...

Varric has nothing on Garrus, Liara, and Tali.

Nah, I very much doubt that our favorite dwarf will ever reach the level of popularity as any of those love interests. He has the potential to become the most well liked companion/NPC in DA2, but no matter the game love interests are almost always at the top of the popularity charts.

Who says Varric won't be a love interest?

With DA2 already trying to get that unique "this is Dragon Age" feeling. Having unsual love interets wouldn't hurt either really. It's not always about mere designs of races and how a Mage works in a fantasy setting, sometimes the simplest things can be the most important. =)

sooo where did you guys learned this guy was a new character for DA2, where guys get this stuff lol

I'm really hoping we get one or two unusual, or at least unlikely, love interests in DA2. Sure have one or two that conform to expectations, but seeing as Bioware seem to always find room for 4 or so it would be great to see them experiment with new ideas in that regard, make it more unique and surprising.

I think I'm in a position to say that the romances in DA2 are pretty unlike any we've done previously. Whether they're as different as you're hoping for, I can't really say. Depends on just what kind of freaky stuff you're into.

Ha! Sorry, you only get exposed to the freaky parts of my life that I choose to inflict on you.

Oh, so any freakiness in DA2 is a reflection of you!

Luke and Sheryl are the leading source of disturbing imagery in the writers' pit. David is merely a close third.

So you're more normal than them?
That speaks loads about them.

Normal? Normal? You could never use that word to describe anyone in this room.
