I also hope that Bioware will start updating the DA2 website with character profiles and such soon, too. That's probably a marketing thing, though.

I'm not even dissapointed with his screenshot...I think he's kinda sexy I'm not normally one for chest hair, but wowzah!

If wishes were ponies, my friend <3 While his 'normal' voice doesn't sound dwarf-ish, there are examples in his voice reel that show ranges that are far from the typical Freeman. Then again, Varric isn't an ordinary dwarf

Somehow, there's a sneaking suspicion at the back of my mind that the VA may be someone like Robin Sachs. Just an unsubstanciated hunch, though.

I'm glad to see that Crispin has the love :wub: I've been in love with his voice since I watched Hellsing, and in Neverwinter Nights 2 : MoTB (Which I never actually got around to buying Thank god for YouTube) his being a LI's role made me swoon. I think he would be puuuuurfect for Varric.

Heh, I  am playing a game right now where he is voicing one of the main characters... that voice wouldn't be good for Varric, though.

Tequila eh? I pegged him as a rum man myself but that might be because I think he looks piratey. Plus rum goes with coconut!

Oh man I really hope the writers do that thing where they equate characters to food items and stuff like that. I'm dying to hear the answers.

I'm seeing him more as somebody who'd go drinking wine and go to wine tasting parties, just sitting in the corner talking with a large group of people listening to him.

Heh, I did think of Rum, but I thought that might be a little unrefined for Cpt. Smooth. Plus, a few people have compared Varric with Zevran, and I'm fairly sure that Tequila was Zev's drink It would only make sense that my two faves have similar tastes, as well as raw sex appeal and charm (I don't think Varric would have an umbrella in his drink though, umbrella's and Orlesian Red's don't mix)

All this "Freeman as VA for Varric" got me thinking... What about MORGAN Freeman? 
He's got all the gravitas, (don't get much heavier than God!  )  and does the whole "Gather 'round kiddies, I have a story for you" thing wonderfully.  And he's got wicked snark/smug edge when he wants.   
Plus, we know he does VO work all the time. (Penguins, anyone?)

Mraow! I could go for Sean Bean! Robbie Coltrane...he's doomed to always conjure a mental image of Hagrid for me, and I certainly don't want to see Hagrid every time I hear Varric talk :/

About the VA... hmm... I have a voice in my head to Varric, but I don't even know if this voice have a place in the real world.
