Looking at IMDB it seems Brian Bloom was also in both of the Mass Effects too. Curiouser and curiouser!

Oh! Oh oh!! Look! I've found an interview with Brian Bloom where he's not trying to act like a dwarf, and he actually sounds pretty sexy.
Posting the link in a second...
Okay, here's the link. Tell me what you think of this.
Brian Bloom! That's a great suggestion! He also played Jim Raynor's right hand man in Starcraft 2, to which I say Muy Bien... :3
I'd rather it be him than Robin Sachs...the idea of crushing on Harrowmont's voice is @_0
And someone, please report from London this weekend! We've been in info withdrawal forever...
O_O - Matter Horner!

And now that I think of it, Brian and Varric have sort of the same eyebrows, too. Not that it means anything, just something I'm now noticing.
Edit:

Just came here to report after reading that message...I'll just copy and paste my reply to you right here as well:namedforthemoon wrote...
I sent SirOccam a message with the link to the Brian Bloom video, to see if maybe he can tell if Varric was voiced by him. That is, if he can remember what Varric sounded like.
"Yeah, that's roughly the type of voice it was. I don't know if I'd be confident enough to say "it was him" or even "it sounded like Brian Bloom" (it was almost a month ago, after all, that I heard it, and it was in a loud expo hall) but that's definitely in the ballpark."
It'd be great if someone could listen to a bunch of Brian Bloom clips before going to some of the upcoming European cons and really try to focus on his voice.

I approve of this man's voice so much. Not only that, but I can practically see Varric's mouth moving with it. And it's NICE. Very nice. @_@namedforthemoon wrote...

Yes, Varric's voice is provided by Brian Blooom.
How the heck did you work that out? You haven't even heard him yet...

Because you guys tend to work with the same actors, and because he sounds like "a dwarf" without being Steve Blum, and because Leske was the other suave dwarf who wasn't Steve Blum.

Personally I think our ("our" meaning the forum's, of course) guesses for the Hawkes are pretty darn good as well.

EDIT: Never thought we would actually receive an answer... I almost wanted to squee with speculation about him being VO by Zach Hanks, who makes a gorgeous Kristoff in Warden's Fall.....
Ohwells! Happy anyways!

I will say, I've been listening to all Varric's dialogue in the toolset for the past couple of days, and Brian Bloom has done a fantastic job.
