Looking at IMDB it seems Brian Bloom was also in both of the Mass Effects too. Curiouser and curiouser!

I sent SirOccam a message with the link to the Brian Bloom video, to see if maybe he can tell if Varric was voiced by him. That is, if he can remember what Varric sounded like.

Just came here to report after reading that message...I'll just copy and paste my reply to you right here as well:

"Yeah, that's roughly the type of voice it was. I don't know if I'd be confident enough to say "it was him" or even "it sounded like Brian Bloom" (it was almost a month ago, after all, that I heard it, and it was in a loud expo hall) but that's definitely in the ballpark."

It'd be great if someone could listen to a bunch of Brian Bloom clips before going to some of the upcoming European cons and really try to focus on his voice.
