The same people posting in a thread about whatever random cluster of body hair catches their fancy for a month+ is hardly a reason to write a codex entry. To BioWare's credit they did not make a codex about Duncan's beard when they released RtO after seeing the fervor over it on the forums.

It's more like, any thread that's got Varric in a positive light. We get it, you hate him. You have to spread your hate and dissent in any Varric thread you come across. We don't really understand why you have to come into a fun and good-natured conversation and just be a Debbie Downer about it. Most people would say GTFO and go make your own thread about how much you hate Varric instead of being a party pooper in a thread that's obviously about how much we love Varric.

It's like you WANT to be doused with Nair and set aflame by Varric Devotees.

If it helps you at all he looks almost as different again in motion and from other angles in the game (in a good way). This is just from the demo, but he really does look better than that screenshot implies. Smirks, doughnut, little ponytail, finger steepling, grins, and of course chest hair are all accounted for.

I'd say unflattering angle, but it's possible they changed the model as well it's hard to be sure as you don't see him from the angle of the screenshot that much really.

I think I get what you mean...for example, when I first saw screenshots of Cailan prior to the DA:O's release, I kinda recoiled back because he looked a bit plastic-y and hard (NOT THAT WAY, PERVS) in stills. When I played the game and saw him in motion with dynamic lighting and camera movements, he looked muuuuuch better and dare I say glorious.

Some people (and 3D models) are just not photogenic.

It's true. I wish I could have played the demo for myself. I think Mary said they changed the lighting sometime after the demo first debuted. Dunno if they load a new build at each con or what.
