Hoo boy, I think he's even uglier after seeing that shot.

Luckily he's the kind of character whom one doesn't (usually) get caught up on in the looks department (unlike LI's for example) he has what looks to be shaping up as an awesome personality which will more than make up for everything else.

Really? I quite like his look, actually (from what I can see of it). Though I think I'd like it better with a few adjustments--crossing fingers for a toolset update.

I wasn't a fan of his man boobs, but thats due to his sitting position. I'm sure they're all muscle if we'd see him from a proper angle!

Yes. The first one may well have been a placeholder or unfinished model, it wouldn't be the first time they've changed a model part way through development, Morrigan had a different face (and voice) in early footage of DAO.

What is it with chins & jaws so far?, I'm still quite hyped by the character but it does look like you could drag him by the feet and use his chin to plough a sizeable meadow.

Note, I am not attempting to criticize Varric in this post! Ok, does anyone else find the new picture of Varric grandfatherly? Because I can easily picture little (nug-sized) dwarflings sitting in front of Varric for storytime in that picture.

Also, his coat looks fine.

 And another picture! It was supposed to be just a bunch of guys who think they are ridiculously handsome/awesome, but then ended up as people who are total flirts/ridiculously awesome/handsome/etc.

....can anyone actually see the fancy nug in teh corner? :C
