Hmm Not what I'd imagine, the 2D counterpart seems to have more character.

Looks awesome in motion.

as for varric's personal quest i can see it being something related to his brother and the merchant guild. maybe the brother gets killed and varric is elected to take his place, also the killer might be the brother's business partner who's trying to take that vacant seat for himself/herself.
could be interesting...

Probably something like that, yeah.

Speaking of loving your in-game family, I hope the Hawke siblings are smarter than the Cousland brother, Fergus.

"Oh, gee, I went out in the wilds and got hit on the head... Didn't make it out till now..."

"Really, Fergus. You got bonked on the head, and that was it? For THREE MONTHS?? (depending on how long it took to get from Point A to Point Hey, the archdemon is dead, let's have a coronation!)

I mean, really. Really.

i wonder if we can use varric's spy network for ourselves:bandit:. they could be our source of unsavory information we could use later on our foes:ph34r:

@namedforthemoon That was a pretty lame excuse, too bad you couldn't say anything back to him about it.

In his defense, the Warden probably wasn't the easiest person to track down and get a message to. But yeah, kinda weird.

Varric should have five quests, before you actually receive his true campaign quest. He seems like the kind of guy that would have you doing some errands for him, and in exchange he would give you a unique item for it.

But something unique to him, like, oh....

Varric's Chest Hair Comb Of Coolness

Comb like a Dwarf, Dwarf! Do you have a thick, lusterous, man-mane that
all the ladies wish to pillow their heads upon?
Of course you don't. Because you aren't Varric!
But if you stopped using your plain nuggin' variety comb, you could comb like him!
Look away, look back! At my hand! It's the comb that Varric combs with! Look away, look back!
You're combing his chest hair, keeping it smooth!
Did you think that the comb was for you? Hah! No Dwarf could own his comb OR his man-mane.

Um. Yeah:O:wub:

According to the Devs it was about 1 to 2 years.

There is a bit of discprency on how long Origins took. 'Twas hard to tell the passage of time without seasons and a day/night cycle after all. I usually assume it took a year. I reckon Fergus just wasn't in a hurry to recover, being the plot device that he was. Hopefully we can run into him in DA 2 and be like "Hey Fergus, try not to be out of the action for several months this time!"

Oh, and Elrena, I want to cuddle you for your post. Hope that didn't sound too strange.

Only heaven knows how the chest hair of a dwarf became a celebrity in its own right...

Unbelievable

Waking up early to new pictures of Varric and his chest hair is more effective than coffee in the morning. The only thing that could make it better is if it smelled of coffee.

Unbelievable

The chest hair possesses powers that even the Maker himself cannot comprehend. Therefore, even heaven has no idea of the magnitude of its pure, undiluted awesome that makes the mane a celebrity!

Carver is here to drink tea and die in a horrible, horrible way.

And he's out of tea.

Oh yeah, Carver is totally, "Crewman #6"!  (He even looks a bit like Guy Fleegman, without a moustache.)

I consider this related, but who knows?

They've announced the cast of the Hobbit, and who they have playing dwarves is quite interesting. Honestly,  between Varric and these two, I'd be surprised if it didn't set off a craze. Oh, how opinions will change! (And, oh dear, they both have chest hair!)

I realize Kili and Fili are the youngest of the bunch, but they're still going to be playing dwarves!

...I. Um. Hello there, Hollywood gentlemen I was not aware of. My name is Pseudo. Let's be friends.

I like your taste in picture selecting. Mmmyess. Though, none have the Varric Grade manly chestcarpet. (Unless they do. We need better pictures of our dwarven leader D:<)

To ensure this is vaguely Dragon Age related, Graham McTavish (Arl Eamon) is playing Dwarin:

Also seems to fit the bill, plus he looks like he could tan the other twos' arses no problemPosted Image

The cuuuuute, look at the cuuuuuute. I was aware of the first and not the second, but the second is sufficiently yummy, as well. >:D

I was so excited when I said that Aidan was going to be playing a dwarf. Shocked the hell out of me. I LIKE IT. I need The Hobbit. Right now. I needs it.
