Since I wasn't around to stalk the development of DAO, does anyone remember about when they started revealing more companions before the release? Maybe it will be similar this time, and we can all just... not tar and feather Named D:

I wasn't around then either but I'd really like to know. I'm dying to find out who the other companions are.

I started [more closely] following DA:O's release about 5 months before its release, which is about a similar time frame to the one we have now.

At that time (from what I remember) we knew of most companions; Alistair, Morrigan, Leliana, Sten, Dog and Zevran (only had a blurry pic of Zevran though)



So they are definitely being more tight with info this time around.

Huh. Maddening! They could release info any time at all between now and March. I wish I had at least a rough idea of how long we'd be waiting.

I can go without the same level of info as ME2 for DA2 that's for sure. It isn't true that the media DELUGE ruined my ME2 experience but, eh... on the other hand, it did make me finish ME1 and Day One it for ME2. Also, soooo muchhh Blur studio lovins. The character trailers were seriously uncanny valley though, Jack's was the most realistic to me.

I was horrible before DA:O came out; I almost killed for a new piece of delicious information, it was my every thought, I was like cracked out from the lack of information! I swear my social lfe dithered away as I locked myself into my apartment, glued to the computer screen, refreshing the main website to see if anything changed....
okay, it wasn't that bad, but bad enough to the point I squealed like a schoolgirl the day it came out, and smelled the crisp, new guide book......

I've been there haha. A lot ;_; Most recently before Enslaved, I was rewatching trailers and huffing and puffing and blowing the internet down. I kept telling myself, it's no big deal, there's no way they'll have X, Y and Z, it's only Andy Serkis, no big deal. Pfft was I wrong. Not only did they have X. Y, and Z, but ANDY SERKIS.

Here's hoping things stay that way for awhile. I'd much rather we get a flood of information, though not nearly as much as was released for ME2, a month or two before release instead of a steady trickle that allows us to intimately know everything long before the game hits the shelves.

Yeah, Im kind of proud of that fact myself, in a strange way

Of course, I went back and realized that I misread a number.  We're only at about 2%.  I thought there were only 24K replies instead of 240+K replies of which we have 5500+.  This is what I get for doing math early in the AM (hell, this is what I get for doing math period!
