So, did any devs confirm if Varric can shoot out other crossbows from his crossbow, which in turn shoot out flaming guitarists?

Her hair was originally black. Dealing with Varric for five seconds gave her completely grey hair. :P

She could be like me... started greying at 17.

*cries*

Try grey hairs since childhood. That happened to me. Then again I like my canas. I'd prefer it if people didn't pull them out.

No, but Nug Bombs are pretty much confirmed.

You mean like in here?

That explosion of blood coming from the poor sap's groin? It's actually the messy end of the string quartet.

I think I'll be long dead before I tire of that gift. Thanks, Calla.

TREMENDOUS LULZ. Bahaha. Oh wow between this thread and frame by framing the trailer, not much is going to get done this afternoon.

Groin shots should do more damage than headshots.

I have mixed feelings about the trailer. Not dissapointed but not really thrilled about it either. I can't decide if I like Varrics voice, I need to hear some more of it before I decide. From 0:27-0:36 it made me think of Pablo Franciscos "Previewman parody"

Bianca is an exception she is only pure awesome.

Holy crap and a half that Isabela thread.

I knew that would happen the minute people found out who she was. I expect some people to absolutely hate the idea of an unashamedly hedonistic, sexually expressive female. With an inflated chin, apparently.

I'm assuming that this is referring to comments by me and others like me, and I'd just like to point out that I don't hate the idea of an "unashamedly hedonistic, sexually expressive female". It's just that she doesn't seem like girlfriend material. She seems more like the girl that you pick up at last call at the bar when there's nothing better left and then pound in the back of your car right before you puke from all the alcohol you drank.

And while that certainly has its place, and can be quite fun, I really think that The Most Important Man in The World can do a little better than that when it comes to a long term (10 years! possibly) relationship. That's the source of my complaint, not a problem with female sexuality.

So don't romance her? Not seeing the issue here.

I don't want to drag the fight in here but that's referred to as a madonna-w hore complex.

Edit: Well, not specifically, but whatever.

Meanwhile that Rogue review isn't making any strides either.

Though she's your most scantily clad party member, this woman of loose
moral value is also a deadly rogue duelist.

What is with people using "loose morals" as a euphemism for "has sex without drowning in memetic guilt?"

Mind = blown.

Edit: Sheryl, were you the one who also did her character in Origins?

Yes. I was one of the many, many people who did Isabela in Origins.

(But seriously, yes, I wrote her.)

What century are we in again? I can't believe this outdated notion of What Women Should Be According To Misogyny is still wheeled out, and that a woman is *still* a **** to some for having/wanting a sexuality.

The issue, if you can call it that, is that there is a limited number of companions, and even fewer romanceable companions. If this was in the real world with millions of women out there, I wouldn't bat an eyelash. But since in all likelihood there is only two romanceable females in the game, having at least one of them be decidedly unnatractive is a little disappointing.

Moreover it just seems like a really odd decision on your part. Of all the characters that you could've possibly expanded on from DA:O, the one you pick, for a romance option no less, is a very minor character whose only distinction is that she could've gotten tag-teamed by the Warden and Zevran in the back of a seedy tavern? Why?

Why? Because the writers felt that she could play an important part on this story.

Well first of all, to me this is a discussion, not a fight. Secondly, like I said, I'm not saying what women should be, and I have absolutely no problem with women participating in group sex with strangers. It's just that that's really not the type of girl that I (or most men) would want to bring home to mama. I had no problem with Isabella in DA:O -- her role fit her personality perfectly. But to take a girl with the personality a one-night-stand girl and make her into a full blown romance just seems odd.

*tries not to break things in irritation*

The problem is that not only is Isabela NOT an unattractive woman except by the standards of some bizarro world where everyone has to look like they're from a Victoria's Secret catalogue, but do you not hear what you are saying? That her worth is explicitly connected to her appearance and her sexuality (as in how she chooses to express it) and not her personality, which we know little of except for a single exchange in Origins. That she is only good when you're drunk for a quickie because you're such a cad it doesn't matter what you stick it in. That a love interest is worth their weight in how much they conform to arbitrary socially imposed standards of beauty and her lack of sexuality unless directly related to your character. Her personality, her actions, how she treats Hawke and how she fits in to the world means nothing because she's too ugly and sl*tty for you to romance her. Just... don't romance her. She deserves better anyway.

We're tragically off topic already so, whatever. I've found the best way to counter crap like that is to just BE that woman who doesn't give a nug's ass what you expect her to be. I get a lot of "calculating ****" even from people I'd consider my friends, and you'll have to take my solemn internet word that it's not because I'm actually mean.

You'll find that even the nicest people don't stop and second guess the source of their attitudes.

Lol, why do you have such a problem with my expressing my opinion on this? Yes, you disagree with me. I get it. But if you have nothing further to add other than to tell me to get over it, to go elsewhere, etc. why do you even bother responding?
