Nope, Ron's got a more BAMF look to him, and his voice is badass too, "War, war never changes..." Great actor, he was awesome in: Alien Resurection, Hellboy, Mutant Chronicles and Enemy at the Gates. Check these movies out! Anyway, Varric doesn't have Ron's chizzled jaw of steel. Looks kind of like a blinged up Danny Devito. IMHO he is my old boss from when I worked at an auto dealership, he was a short and ornry money grubber too.

A bit of tweaking around his jaw and making his facial hair darker would turn him into the hunk we all expected, even though this look is growing on me.

Next they will be tweaking the darkspawn for the same reason.

Uh... I was pointing out the differences between what we expected and what we got. Nowhere in my post did I say that I was interested in changing him. Nor will I put him into the Toolset. I've stated time and time again in this thread that I actually like what they've made of him.

On that note why is the in-game version not as hot as the artwork version? HOW DARE THEY! WHY WON'T YOU LET HIM BE GREAT BIOWARE! WHY!!!

Well, he's older here. Maybe by ten years, anyway. So he aged a bit to look like old Captain Kirk. So since he's telling a story that happened in the past, I'm sure his younger self has less grey in his beard and he's not got that old man chubby look.

The way I see it, there's still quite some time left for Varric to be tweaked into the man we all expected. Or, really, time for us to get used to the hairy sob we're given. :3

Yes, and you know the newly converted ones are the worst kind (rabid, obsessive with their newfound faiths and everything). 

On that note if Bioware doesn't give Varric the hotness that is due to him I will steal into their homes and cut off their beards! *rabid laughter*

I'm serious Bioware. Don't make me come after you.
