I almost don't want to post in it yet just in case. :\\ Someone is definitely going to come back around with some interesting ways to describe her face.

I mean, Varric's face looked pretty funny for a while. It's the still, low shots that are screwing people up, I think, on top of just being Internet Males.

Blech yeah, too bad they're so loud. We can't drown them out like we do the occasional ones that stop by the Varric thread. Though, of course, Varric is a man so his value isn't calculated based on how hot he is (though he is ~smokin'~), so there is less fanboi rage.



Also, Varric is armed and not afraid to shoot dudes in the jewels, so there's that :')

Varric has to be a Sens fan...Don't see him following the 'Nucks, and the Oil hasn't been good since the the last Cup (what the hell happened to Sather???  seems like he went nutso!).  Can't follow the Flames (Bioware being in Edmonton and all) and no one in their right mind outside of the Greater Toronto Area follows the Leafs.  The Habs are a good choice, but Varric took one look at the Sens and saw a kindred spirit in Alfie, so he's a Sens fan

Unless another team returns to 'Peg or the Nords return, then he might have to change...

Thanks for pitching in with possible stories based on the pic! I laughed at the sheer variety, from comic nerdraeg (Charles Vess owns, yo), auctioning poor Carver, pickpocketing, Bianca-loving and even Lady H's panties made it into the mix XD

Anyway, for those who are still up, I'm posting two more sketches done as pre-work warm-up. Probably no Varric arts from me until next Thursday, so enjoy

Friendship Path - Drinking buddies! Isabela and Varric are trying to induct Lady H into the Hedonist Club, methinks.

Personally, I like the decision to give an exotic look to Isabela...finally a main female with unconventional beauty. It'll take a while to get used to it even for me, but come gametime I think reservations would disappear. And yay for round-faced gals XD

Really Good Friendship Path (I leave it to you to interpret the level) - Lady H getting a bit of consoling from Varric...what could she be so sad about? Did she fail to save someone really important in a recent mission? Or did Isabela clean her out at cards again?

Oh aimo, I am throwing my love around tonight apparently but ILU. Both drawings are awesome. Lady Hawke looks adorable in the first and the second one is sweet.

As long as he doesn't like the Blackhawks. FFFFFUUUUUUU BLACKHAWKS FFFFUUUU. Ahem.

EDIT: Haha, Neesee, I am a New Yorker of Dominican descent, random love of hockey thrust upon me during Olympics (had also applied to uni in Canada before that, I thought I should learn xD)

Don't see him supporting a team South of the border.  Man, if I had ANY talent at art, I'd draw Varric in a team Canada jersey

Actually, I appreciate all of the people that make the forums a fun place to be by refraining from angrily insulting each other &/or various fictional characters. This thread is how I recuperate from no new Dragon Age II news*, so I'm glad that there aren't too many seething trapezoids** of anti-DA2 hate.


Also, does Varric always have a wine glass/goblet with him in case of a brothel-emergency? If so, I can picture a scenario where the goblet saves Varric's life. A bandit seemingly stabs Varric in the heart, Hawke pleads for Varric not to die, Cassandra rolls her eyes, Varric acts melodramtic, and finally someone mentions that Varric isn't bleeding, thus revealing the goblet covering his heart. Hijinks ensue.



*Though it often has little tidbits on Varric thanks to the Mary.

I swear my love of Hetalia messes me up sometimes. Lately every time I see "Canada", I think "Manada" and then I giggle for a while.
