On the topic of how creepy it is to like Varric's chest hair: I find the chest hair to be a fun gag and that's all. I am a heterosexual male, so it's likely something in my glands that prevents me from being so allured.

Oh, I was wondering, instead of just having Draw Varric Thursday, could we branch out? Have it for writing scenarios with Varric and stuff?
It's Thursday in Australia at the moment, and I have no time to spend on hours of drawing, then rubbing out pencil drawings

Anyway, new info would be helpful to reinvigorate this thread's focus on our oratorily gifted dwarven companion. Luckily this week is supposed to have new information, so we just need to bide our time. So, to help change the creepy topic, what is Varric's possible unique skill? We know that certain companions have skills that no one else has and I hope that Varric is one of them.

Whoa this thread got taken weeeeird places while I was asleep! And about the chest hair fetishization: it's mostly a running gag like Calla said. We like the chest hair, but the degree of like is blown way out of proportion for comedic effect.

I used to lurk the old Varric 1.0 thread and was nervous about participating but eventually made peace with my love for the chest hair and here we are.

Usually I lurk, though I do occasionally post here. That was the first time I posted more than two times in a day and it lead the thread to its creepiest moments! Anywho, this thread is pretty active and a lot of people don't know much about Varric, so I suppose some lurkers are intimidated. I don't post as often because I usually try to make assumptions about Varric so that the thread doesn't get locked down.



Speaking of which, what do you all suppose Varric's favorite color is? I say it's either red or an exquisite shade of brown.

Wine red sounds fine enough for fair Varric. Hmm, in hindsight, assuming what color a fictional character is fond of wasn't the best idea. Oh well, it'll get people talking about Varric.

My favourite foods are chocolate and coffee but I'm more of crimson red fan. Granted, there are some good browns out there, like mahogany.

I had a roommate once whose favorite color was brown. It does happen!

As for Varric, I'm gonna say green because it was the first color that came to mind. Plus, it goes well with his coloring.
