I think he looks quite suave myself! Dem earrings.  That said, from what I can tell from DA:O age does not favor dwarves, no matter how powerful their chest hair.

I find that I keep getting more and more excited every time I come peek into this thread. I can't wait to hear him talking about how badass and OP my Hawke is. Ahhhh, why is it AUGUST?!

You know there's going to be mods coming out for Varric as soon as the toolset is released (if it's released) that change him to look more like his concept art. Just like the million of Morrigan mods out there.

Or, you know what? Maybe the Devs tweaked him a bit for this... Little pre-release show that they did, so that the manly suaveness of Varric wouldn't destroy the world before the game comes out.

HAHAHA. I like it! "Let's put out a screenshot this version, and then surprise all the women by revealing a dwarf who they actually find ATTRACTIVE in the actual game! It'll blow their minds!"

(Though, I wager they weren't expecting a few of us to like this version of Varric, I'm sure. )

details from his concept-art. By contrast, some of the concept art for DA:O's
character cast looks alien in comparison to their actual appearance in-game.

The only nitpicks I can think of is that his chin looks too roundish (blunt-like), and that his stubble isn't prenounced enough. (Has been said before, I know)
Besides, the camera caught his bad side.

I agree, it looks to me like they have gotten his face just about right with the exception of the chin somewhat. Although I suspect that is because the models for male Dwarves all have somewhat chubby chins? *shrugs*

I'd also like to see him from other angles though, I'm not sure they captured his epic hair quite right from the front, but it might just be because it's a front view.

Regardless I've stated my opinion on the Hairy God before, it doesn't matter if he looks like that or altered it's his personality my Ladyhawke will fall for.

Only that of the more than 20 facemorph mods of Morrigan only 2 or three are really worth trying... Because EVERYBODY wants to release HIS version though dull, unatractive or not -in-character may be...

Hopefully Varric modding fans dont turn him either in Brad Pitt or a Broodmother from hell...

That is so shallow man.   Sex appeal has everything to do with presence and how you deliver your speech in an attractive way. Thats the reason many women fall for the unatractive though witty guy...,  but find the metro-sexual AND brainless stud a put off...
