There are a bunch of phrases that trigger DA voices in my head. Mostly on this forum it's Sten's "No" and Alistair's "Riiight, very creepy" though >_>

Oh and I really hope DA2 has a character even better than Alistair because he was fantastic. I'd settle for equal to Alistair, however.

Is it weird that I already consider Varric as classic a Dragon Age character as any of the cast of Origins? It's not even a question of whether he will live up to the hype anymore, it's impossible (in my mind) for him not to... @_@



But yeah, discovering which characters are the 'new' Alistair/Morrigan/Sten (etc.) in terms of quotability is going to a lot of fun.

Crying tears of joy here. Even my husband is laughing and he barely knows who Varric is (I had to go into a fifteen minute explanation as to why I was falling out of my chair, he laughed then quickly edged out of the room).

Reading David Gaider destroying those people weak arguments is making me smile.  I wish I was posting here back then.  I would have been twirling in my chair laughing.

I finally made it through 279 pages of text and I have to say this is my favorite thread in the whole forum. Also, it is now officially hazardous to my health, as I am recovering from bruised ribs and it gave me owwies from laughing so hard.

Indeed. Some glorious threads from back then. I love how he calls people out on their tendency to meta-game and unwilligness to see companions as anything other than tools to be used by the player. It also reminds me why Alistair is so awesome.

It wouldn't be a case of winning per say. They would all end up in bed together, what happens after that is best left to the imagination (or not).

I'm using the Hardened-Alistair/Redeemer/Have-him-marry-Anora ending for DA2 - absolutely for metagame reasons but thats how I approach import saves - and view his leaving the party but still becoming a good king as being "kicked upstairs/in the right direction" and hope he'd forgive my Warden in time. Anyway, that's off topic and more a response to that particular thread.
