One also has to note that dwarves are built thicker.

Trust me, the leg thing is just the artist's style.

Well sure it's art style. Barbie's legs were an artist's style too. That's hyperbole and should be interpreted as such.

Well, that's what i was thinking but this discussion about Varric does put comment of a dev how dwarves and elves were redesigned in new light. So now also accepting possibility that concept art is actually accurate.

Or don't trust me. Concept art rarely looks precisely like the finished product.

Well the only dwarf we've seen is Varric, unless I'm mistaken. I wasn't aware that what was meant was that the dwarves in game wouldn't look exactly like the dwarves in the concept art. I kind of figured that was a given.

As far as we know, dwarves aren't human. In primates, there's quite a bit of variation in the size of the testicles and the male member in regards to the overall size of the body. Actually, if we knew what the average male genitals looked like, it would tell us a great deal about the usual mating strategy for dwarves.

That's assuming that dwarves are a product of natural selection. Elves, with their 'adaptive genetics,' suggests there's more going on in Thedas.

Well actually we sort of know what the mating strategy is so you can extrapolate backwards from there. But it doesn't seem to be very different from humans except for the infertility issues.

There's probably some book by brother Genitivi on this very subject out there. That man gets around.

You talking about the size of dwarven males testicles and genitalia all serious like is very amusing.

This speculation about dwarf genitals is actually not as disturbing to me as the speculation (or joking) about hypothetical hybrid offspring.

I'm not sure why you find the concept so incredibly unsettling but I'm highly amused!

I take it you're not big on Shepard/Garrus babies? Little ickle human-turian hybrids? omg I can't even say it without giggling to myself, it's so horrifying.

Honestly? I don't either.

It's not the hyrbid baby thing that gets me, it's the LOL MARRIED WITH KIDS VARRIC. I think it goes back to what I said when I de-lurked about not drawing romancey Varric stuff until it is confirmed because... well, If I came up with a character that did A and B but someone ran off with him and made him do Z I would sh*t myself.

Ahem. That said, Hawke bringing home a little destitute elf baby and setting it on Varric's lap like "Voila! You are a father!" is kind of adorable.
