edit: finally got the look of my cousland to near perfection. at least on my standards, it wasn't easy...made him on ps3 but i think he looks pretty good considering the limitations.

You know, despite the warm fuzzy Varric love, now I'm stuck on the idea that there had to have been some kind of jerk move on his part to be the only one (as far as we know) available for Cassandra's capture. I doubt she would subject herself to his shenanigans if she had other options.

Looks like my love for Varric has been... tainted.

Well, Varric could have allowed himself to be captured and question to protect our Hawke. Perhaps allowing our Hawke to move beyond the reach of the chantry or complete some other absolutely heroic deed that would make his/her capture unnecessary.

Yeah Maybe Varric's 'capture' is all a ruse by Team Hawke to get someone on the inside so they can find out more or make a move on them. Or maybe Varric was sleeping off a long nights 'storytelling' in the bar when they came for him and Hawke was elsewhere. It would be kinda amusing if later on in the game Cass is asking what happened next and Varric says "she breaks the door down and rescues the Dwarf"... followed by Hawke breaking the door down and bursting into the room.
