Try forcing the pictures to update by de-equipping and re-equipping a piece of armor and then saving while being logged in. If that doesn't work you could try deleting the character from your list on the BSN and reuploading.

That's funny I have a HP Pavillion and have to deal with overheating problems too. I work around it by always keeping it on a cool surface when I play games and such, as well as generally keeping an eye on how hot it's getting but occasionally it still overheats. I fear one day it'll never wake up again.

mines actually a desktop comp, no fancy laptops for me :/

My bro is having the dreaded HP now since he's in uni (and I'm not, not yet anyway ><) so I got him a a bigassed fan and so far it hasn't died as often...

(I actually have a very long story of how it died so many times and went into coma and sending it to HP services 1001 times... but I don't wanna stray from the topic too much)

So... Get a huge gigantic fan?

Varric would be pleased. You might need it for DA2. Or get an ASUS

Does anyone know if the final version of Varric is blond, imo he would have looked better if he had grey/black hair.

I kinda would have liked the greyer hair, but the blond color makes him seem young and thus my optimism towards LI Varric rises up. Since for example we didn't have Wynne as a LI.

I'm betting that explains my problems. I've had issues with HD videos too! I used to find they ran smoother if I lifted the laptop up and everyone called me mad saying that couldn't be it, but it sounds like it helped due to making the laptop cooler heh. Grr HP, I had no idea about this! It's getting on a bit now anyway and I'm looking to replace it when I get a job (or get a new desktop and use the laptop less).

As for DA2, sadly my laptop can't even run DAO! Stuck with consoles for now. Unless I get that awesome job before March.

Oh and to be more on topic: It is a long reach to think that DA2 will follow Origins structure closely enough that things will work the same way, but should they prove similar who do we think will join Varric on the 'impossible to kill, plays an important role' list. Origins had two: Alistair and Morrigan (you could get Morrigan to leave but she always returned to play her part). I'm thinking it'll be Bethany myself, mostly purely going by my gut but I also feel it's telling that Varric chose to include her in his first telling of the story (the exaggeration) where he didn't include: Carver, Mama Hawke, Aveline, Templar red shirt reversecarth. Varric knew Bethany and knew she was worth mentioning even in the exaggerated story!


Edit: Looks up and see's Aimo-art.   That made my day, it's been a difficult day so yay for Aimo-Varric. These fan drawings of Carver are really endearing him to me in a way the demo never did by the way...

Maybe you should get a laptop stand? I have one with a USB fan inside that blows up against the bottom of the laptop. It does indeed help to get more air against the bottom by lifting it up--you're not crazy!

What is this new devilry?! I'd actually never heard of this (although it makes sense someone came up with it thinking about it) so I'll check out if I can afford to get one. And thanks, good to have another vote for not crazy, I get plenty going the other way on a daily basis.

@Dave: If you ask me the little bit of grey only made him even hawter. Not to mention he has obviously been designed as a the, initially unlikely, LI of DA2 ala Thane from ME2. This is Dragon Effect dontcha know?
