It's a dwarf. Notice the moustache (with isn't burning because Dwarf hair is awesome like that).

I'd rather have a Bianca wallpaper. Besides, if Varric were to sit on your monitor background, the screen would explode, incapable of containing his awesomeness for so long.

Because he wasn't in the Blur trailer so there isn't a super high poly model of him, probably. Honestly I prefer in-game Isa to high poly Isa

That's what I was thinking but that Isabela doesn't look like the one in the Destiny traier to me, unless it's the angle playing tricks on me.

I may or may not be more understanding of those who would like him as a LI, now. >_>

At this point I'm like "...okay, cheekbone-y dwarf with a great fashion sense, whatevs-- *remembers that voice* DAT VOICE." It all comes together for one beautiful moment, fades away, and then I return to my neutral fence-sitting on the subject.
