I wonder if Varric was using fire bolts in that new second picture. I don't think the different bolt/arrow types actually affected enemies physically in Origins, so that would be a good improvement. It could be an enchantment of Bianca or maybe Bethany was using the Flaming Weapons ability. Bianca's a fine crossbow, perhaps Dragon Age II will be the first game in which I play as a ranger. Perhaps.
