Maybe you can unlock different ammunition types for Bianca, similar to ammo powers in ME2.
Fire Bolts, Poison Bolts, etc.

The idea of ammo is supposedly gone in DA2. Bows/crossbows can be enchanted with runes like other weapons, or otherwise deal elemental damage if they're made that way.

@ Puesdo, I use Artrage Studio Pro to paint usually. I'm now too horrifically lazy to use real mediums. Wacom art is sooooo much easier.

Really like it.  The more Varric art Im seeing, the more Im starting to see a Harry Dresden sort of vibe moreso than the Doctor sort of vibe....

About Bianca: I've actually lost track of whether Varric's crossbow is called that in game or whether it's a forum thing? If it is called that in game does this suggest we might have 'Asala'-like dilemma's when it comes to deciding what weapon he might use?

It's called that ingame.

One of his war-cries even involves it.

That's what I get for not reading all the pages I've missed! Thanks guys. I wonder if they are putting in any other unique weapons for companions? Regardless I kinda hope Bianca upgrades over the years to keep her useful, otherwise I may have to handicap Varric with a weaker weapon than he should be using like poor Sten.
