I think Bioware should fix him before the game comes out. If I can do that in fifteen minutes, so can they.

Looking at both Hawke's supposed pirate/gypsy LI in the trailer and Varric's in game appearance I fear the crippling real life affliction of Jaw Jut may be somewhat prevelant in the Free Marches.

I woke up restless from a nightmare just to see that someone brought Twilight into this thread!

Oh and don't go all "Hawke's kissy girl is fugly" thread now, is it in-game or cinematic? If it's the latter, then no one has to worry.

I am pretty confident it's cinematic because the movement too smooth and awesome... Reminded me of the Sacred Ashes trailer... I actually stated this in another forum XP

The trailer was cinematic, yeah. The shot of Varric and Cassandra was in-game.

ONOZ:pinched:

Does this make you feel better?^_^

Thank you :wub::wub::wub::wub:

Just to ensure we stay on topic, I would like to quote Mary on Varric's face in progress...

original link...

He does look remarkably like his concept at the moment.

Note that this was said 8 days ago... So I am guessing their keeping the best Varric for last??? Yes, I am unusually optimistic...;)

And then regarding his VO,

Although he is neither David Tennant, nor the Old Spice Guy, I adore Varric's voice.

As Abridged Avatar Series' Katara once said, "Yay Optimism!"

Yeah I've been meaning to go through the old thread to collect all those quotes for the group, plenty to be optimistic about yet!

I'm having flashbacks to everyone talking about being optomistic in the Thane thread. The optomists there were vindicated. I see no reason for you guys to not be optomistic on behalf of Varric as well.

Thank you. :D +15<3

I seriously can't wait to see the Varric appreciation grow as soon as he gets screentime hehe.

If only they could use that photo-game face tech EA has, and adapt it to include photo-game chest. :o

Eeeee I just saw a Varric and Cassandra segment on the teeny blurry screen I could see in the live feed. It looked ~glorious~

Irritated Cass and smug Varric <3

The one in the middle is a little bit *too* attractive to be Varric in my opinion, still a LOT better than Devito Varric though. *shudder* Still, I'm hoping Varric's face will be fixed by the time the game comes out. Making his face less rotund, his jaw more defined and his nose not overwhelmingly large are the main changes I want.

Awesome! I was waiting to watch that after I caught a glimpse of it, but the guy whose screen I was watching skipped it when he got to it. >.< No wonder he looked confused when the game loaded up again and his Hawke wasn't superpowered anymore!

Seriously? He skipped it? He has the chance to play a demo of a game we're all drooling to get a mere glimpse of and he skips the story aspects? I am outraged!!

Not really, but why would you do that?

Yeah I don't know why you would. I mean I get that 99% of gamers aren't as rabidly excited about the game as we are but still!

Indeed, many gamers who go to these events aren't necessarily fans of game x and are just trying to get through as much as they can as fast as they can. Add this to the time limit and even some big DA/Bioware fans will be skipping through as fast as possible. I've even heard people say they skip as much dialogue and story elements as they can to avoid being spoiled.

Boo. I wouldn't want to be a video game reviewer.

And Varric would never wear Ed Hardy. HOW DARE YOU!
