I try, but I lose track of a lot of the questions. I am easily distracted by cookies, shiny objects, and Varric's chest hair.

Fixed...

On the bright side, it keeps you eternally loyal to Varric, as all other wenches are afraid to approach you without his permission.

That's like the opposite of 'bright side.' I'm really just interested in him as a buddy. :)

And that's only in the lyrium infused spray version. Conditioners and body washes are fine :)

Best to switch to vanilla spice. Just in case.

I really have to find a gay god, the "so, remember that time when I said that you would go to hell for liking men? Yeah, I wasn't joking" think it's getting annoying. Live in a country where a giant part of the population is homophobic and Christian don't help me, either.

But enough of that, I'm getting off topic.

Don't blame Christians for your probs, they are very diverse.

on topic:

Anyone know if Varric's Bianca is based off Assassin's Creed's Bianca?

YES.

So... Varric Varric Varricy Varric?

Someone mentioned whipped cream so my mind went places...

Oh and before I look impolite: thanks Mary for the extra clarification on surface dwarf "religion". 'Tis always interesting to know what the various cultural groups in Thedas believe in (or don't believe in) and to see how they approach day-to-day life.

That.. sort of sucks.

"Life is crappy. And then you die. Oh, other people go back to the stone or to the Maker, but you? You just die."

Surface dwarves pretty much come in two types: Live for the moment, or Unspeakably dour. The future does not really look bright from their point of view, so they either don't think about it, or dread it with the power of ten thousand suns.

Thank you for answering my question, Mary.

Aren't we all? I'm supposed to be writing my book right now, but here I am! The shiny object in this case is the approving gleam in Varric's eyes as he examines this thread.
Thank you Mary, thank you for writing us this exceptionally fine character and thus inadvertantly providing us a thread to hide in when the forums get rough. I bow before you :innocent:

I'm sorry, I expressed myself badly. It's true, Christians are very diverse, but I can't say I found comfort in any of them until now. Still, I shouldn't have said it with so little caution, I didn't want to offend anyone >_<

I think Mary said earlier that it was a coincidence and is in fact named after a character from a Shakespeare play. Taming of the Shrew?

I have not played any Assassin's Creed, though I really should, as I am already well aware that Optimus Prime was stuck into the level art somewhere in the first one. That's recommendation enough, really.

Bianca is named after the character in Shakespeare's Taming of the Shrew, yes.

Yet you managed to escape that room full of tin foil.

I appreciate all the questions you answer. I think most of us understand that actually working on the game is more important than answering random questions on the forum.

You're unfamiliar with Shakespeare?? You get a pass on this if you're from a non-English speaking country I suppose, but otherwise...for shame!

There are more awesome-sauce crossbows? Because, as you should know, Varric can only carry crossbows slightly less awesome than Bianca or he'll die. Or that's what the voices told me :?

This Beef Bourguinon thing sounds indescribably delicious.
And I usually don't like beef.

And here I was about to get all linky. Hooray for Mary! I should also get to playing Assassin's Creed but DAO is incapable of loosing its grip on me.

@Pseudo - I watched an episode of No Reservations (I love me some Anthony Bourdain) where he showed how to cook beef bourguinon. Man I wanted some so bad afterward. Need some cheap red wine, beef chunks, necessary veg... *mumbles about cooking*

I tried to read Shakespeare, I swear I did, but the language was really complex to me. Even if I have a pass, it's a chame I can't read Ricardo III because I don't know what's a ataúde.

(The dictionary say it's a coffin :D)

Taming of the Shrew is not one of Shakespeare's best plays in my opinion. So its understandable the reference is a tad obscure.

As far as Shakespeare goes I'm more familiar with the comedies than tragedies and historical stuff. Helps that my book hoarding brother had some books with his plays.

I wonder if Varric likes theater.
