Lmao, this exactly. Including the frak since I've been rewatching all four seasons of BSG lately.

Still, while Varric might not have makeup, I'm of the mind that he'd look snazzy with a few of those blocky, dwarven tattoos. Hummina hummina.

I'm really bummed that he isn't Dalish; when are they going to reveal a Dalish companion? Need my Dalish lore fix. But it still begs the question, if he isn't Dalish or a city elf, then what the heck is he? Mystery man!



Still, maybe this means we will get lucky and have a female Dalish LI at some point? Or even a non-LI, a female Dalish would be cool.. as long as it's more Ariane than Velanna in style.

/Joins in group hug. It's not even bias or anything, I genuinly prefer the idea of Varric as a love interest. In justm every way possible.

I'm guessing he is a 'city' Elf to the extent that he didn't grow up with the Dalish. But he has gotten involved as a merc or some other 'warrior'-like profession. I'm also going with him not being overly friendly, being morally questionable, or both. Other theories include him being the last guardian of Arlathan I believe, but I kinda hope that isn't the case myself.

Edit: And I think it's a shame he isn't Dalish too, was hoping for a Welsh speaking companion! Although maybe Anarya is right and we'll get two Elven companions this time around *hopes*
