Sten is the man. Anyone who doesn't simply assume my protagonist is awesome and deserves undying loyalty earns my - as a player - respect.

Sten, Zevran, and Oghren was my favorite group. Not the BEST gameplay wise, but I loved their personalities. Oddly they were on the bashing end of many players.

Although Sten's approvment system still boggles me to this day!

I love Sten. I didn't find his in-game model very attractive but the DA2 Qunari are looking mighty fine. I'm really curious to see how he'd appear with a revamp.



But I didn't follow Origins' development so I can't say if I'd have liked him then backpedaled. Who knows?

@Nimpe: not true, we know a decent amount about him, and our impression
of his personality is fairly accurate according to Darth Gaider.

And yarr we actually know quite a lot about the V man now, it's hardly a Meg situation going on here. The thread has embraced the proper footage and screens of him too, his in game model has definitely improved since the first early showing of it and I've seen people say that it looks better than it did then. Personally I think he looks great, concept art almost always looks 'better' than what can be created in game anyway in my experience. He certainly doesn't look the unattractive Dwarf some claimed he would be back then.

Edit: And for what it matters Sten is actually my favourite Origins character, including Awakening and the DLC.

So, wait, we don't have a single nude Varric fanart floating around yet? We must be crazy. Even MEG has close-to-nudity art. Ok, I'm not complaining, I like using my imagination a bit and I think it shows that we have a bit of.. civility and maturity with our fandom here. That's something I respect a lot. Most of the fan threads on the forums give me nightmares, the things people come up with! But we all seem to have a bit of class and tact in regards to Varric.. I think he'd approve of that.

What! This needs to be in colour. That's a travesty. My desktop requests it. (Though the pretty Hightown concept art is looking kind of nice at the moment).

It's pretty hilarious whenever teh haterz drop by and say things like "wtf we noe nuthin yet" when really, if you check the dev posts in Varric Thread 2.0, we actually get quite a lot of info about his personality... We even know that he likes Bach.
