Yeah I always thought he was brown haired going grey (at least from the concept art) but then he did look quite red haired in the screenshot we saw. I wish they would change that, we've already had Oghren with red hair, it would be much cooler to have Varric dark haired streaked with grey by the time he is talking to Cass.

Brown haired going grey is beyond the realm of "nom nom nom" for me. It swiftly turns into OM NOM NOM, which then lapses into drooling incoherently. So I have a thing for grey - sue me!

I've nothing against red hair (see: profile picture), it's just that.. yeah, we've had a red haired Oghren already. Even Gorim had slightly reddish-brown hair. Give us brown! Or even black. Black with grey... oh sweet mercy.

I completely agree, grey looks good on a guy like Varric. As for red hair, it's actually one of my favourite hair colours when it's done right (see: your profile pic!) but as you say we've already had Oghren, and somehow I find Dwarves with red hair stereotypical? I'm not sure why offhand.

Yeah concept art Varric was sort of dark brown/black with grey, and he made it work just perfectly.

At this rate the Dragon Age Anime will be old hat by the time it rolls around, we'll have the 'Dave of Canada Presents: The Hawke and Varric Show' instead (but probably with a much cooler sounding title).

Nefily: It has chest hair, and thus it is instantly entered into Varric's hall of manly awesomeness.

I was wondering where I might find a link to all the screen shots or to the video of the actual game footage where we first saw Varric's in-game face, where Cassandra is interrogating him. There's a guy on a stage in front of it... I'm looking for the actual footage or something close.
