CONTINUATION OF LEGEND OF VARRIC.
It's not midnight where I am yet, though since I didn't do one last week and it's probably midnight somewhere in the world... here's an early present!
---
In the intense heat of the sun, Varric sighed and wondered. How'd he get into his mess? What went wrong? Since when do the legendary moderators involve themselves in the lives of mortals? It didn't matter anymore, Varric was tasked with suicide. He sighed and hung his head low, how could a lone dwarf stop the Blight? The hopeless task stood before him like the long road leading towards town.
"Haven't even sodding heard of this place and they had to put me here?" Varric muttered outloud, loud enough to gather the attention of a caravan. The caravan stopped and the driver yelled at Varric, Varric stopped and wondered why he didn't hear it coming. The driver offered a ride and Varric nodded, at least it wasn't all that bad.
The man stared at Varric quizzingly, Varric would often made his stare but then he'd turn around to look away. When asked on why the man looked at him in such a manner, the man would start whistling and ignore the question. Varric got irritated but didn't persist, after all the gracious driver did offer him a ride through the island and Varric wasn't going to challenge his good luck.
Varric, curious and lost, decided to finally speak to the caravan driver. The driver was nervous when he saw Varric going to open his mouth. "Where are we exactly? I'm not from around these parts", Varric asked while staring at the man, "We're on Hannen, a sm-small town of-off the sh-shore of Ferelden" said the man trembling in fear. "Don't remember this place from any map I've ever seen" Varric said, gazing at the long fields of grass and high mountains.
The driver stopped the caravan, stared at Varric intensely and finally said what was bothering him "Ar-are yo-you one of th-those protagonist-people I've heard so much about?" Varric smirked as he heard the question before nodding towards the poor man, "Of this fan game? Yeah, I'm also being written by an incompetent fan for now". The poor man, shivering in his boots, seemed relieved after hearing Varric's last words. "That's good to know, we don't need no fancy protagonists coming in and stirring up a bunch of trouble so there's sidequests aplenty!" said the driver, Varric kept quiet as the caravan began moving once again towards the town in the distance.
"This is just a filler part because Dave didn't do one last week, isn't it?" said the driver, Varric nodded slowly.
