 Varric is like the one dwarf I find attractive in any semblance of the word, so based entirely on my feelings on the matter (lol), I don't think the backlash with a confirmation would be that bad.  For the sake of his fans and the continued continuity of this thread that I've lurked and been thoroughly amused by, I hope he is a LI, but remain dubious.

It is cruel. Too cruel. I like my job, but there are days when I just want to stay home and spend time with Varric.

Anyway, regarding whether or not people find Varric attractive... I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder. For example, I don't get the whole thing about Thane from ME2. To me he looks like Abe the fish man from Hellboy. Garrus, on the other hand... Now he's hot.

True.  Work has been shredding my soul lately.  I pop in to the Varric thread to ease my pain.

I also find Varric attractive.  It's not that he is "pretty" by any means.  However, he has very attractive qualities and an alluring presence.  Besides, pretty boys tend to be too narcisstic for my tastes.  I like a man with more substance than shine.  A nice be-hind helps as well.

What attracted me most to Varric and I'll admit was the chest hair, also to me he looks very manly and masculine, which kind turns me on.

But he's green! He's not my favorite character, but boy is he my favorite color. Mmmm.

Varric is not my cup of LI tea but I will by no means avoid the opportunity if he is. Dohohoh.
