You misunderstand. I don't mind this as an attribute of his personality. I don't mind him going off on a tangent or adding a few extra darkspawn for Cassandra to interrupt him. I mind that this means replaying sections of the game over and over (I'm assuming for the sake of the discussion that this is what it means).Wishpig wrote...
You're opinion that you don't like the concept of his character embellishing to embellish is not one I share. I love the idea he's just exaggerating the story cause it's fun to him. I know a ton of people like that and in a videogame it could be a much needed departure from the same stale narrating we always seem to get.
His biography makes no indication of how the game will use this trait.Wishpig wrote...
And bad news for you, his bio makes it sounds like he enjoys having his "fun" with stories.
I'm not "taking a negative stance" to anything, I am drawing attention to what I perceive to be a very poor game element whether or not DA2 uses said element, and asking if anyone knows if it does. If it does, bollocks and that'll be the end of it.Wishpig wrote...
What I don't like is how you seem to be taking a negative stance on something that could go in dozens of different directions. Bioware games are driven by their characters. "Because it's in their character" is an extremely valid reason imo.
