Personally, I would like it if Varric is well mannerd and cool headed.
But that he has a few outburst that will send an Archdemon running away in terror. With curse words that would make Oghren blush.

Mary has repeatedly hinted at Varric's cultured demeanor. He is a trade 'prince' afterall. Whether he curses or likes the ladies is somewhat besides the point.

Now Garrus-Varric (to keep it on topic)...what sort of buddy cop show are we talking about? Do you see them more as Lethal Weapon (Garrus: Im too old for this stuff!), CHiPs (Varric would definitely be Ponch), Miami Vice (Varric and Garrus, the new Crocker and Tubbs) or something more Generic (Law and Order: Bioware)?

Even though I think someone is going to stab Hawke in the back, I don't think its Varric.
Then again, he doesn't look like he is really a prisoner...I just hope that Hawke doesn't get betrayed by anyone.
