As far as the existence of the Varric chest hair thread goes, if it’s a joke thread, it’s one heck of a joke. Regardless, there are many posts that only seem to want to talk about companions and romances, and eschew anything relating to actual gameplay discussion. These same people are the most militant about attacking anyone who dares make a valid criticism. Are they all girls? No. Are the majority? It would appear so from the user names. Are they unusually vocal and hostile? Yes.

WAT. Seriously, WAT?

Firstly, it's a character thread, not a gameplay thread.

Secondly, who have we attacked? Hostile? What'd I miss? Or is this guy just making stuff up just to make us look bad to prove his "point"?

I think the part that goes after the "regardless" refers to the forum in general, rather than this specific thread.

Oh well, it just means we're devoted to our cause. And our cause is Varric.



I had a dream last night that I was Lady Hawke, and I was travelling with Varric to someplace, to find his mother. We visited some dark town, or maybe it only seemed dark because it was at night. We found his mother living in a middle-class four room house. She was very articulated, soft-spoken, yet she knew how to speak in order to gain the attention of people (maybe this who Varric get's his story telling prowess from?) And, she looked a lot like Pseudo's Lady Varric portrait, only she was wearing a dress, was older, and had her hair down. Anyway, Varric needed to ask her a very important question, but he left me alone in the room while they went into another room to talk. When they came back out, his mother was very kind to me and took my hands in hers and started showing me everything around her house that would pass to her sons when she died. And then Varric and I spent the night there.



That was it. Nothing really intense but there was a really good feeling about it.

He started it, but it's not a big deal. We're not insecure little schoolgirls who have to go into "blast that guy" mode because he said something snarky.

We are Varric Fans, and we are above all of that nonsense. So let us forget the little blog that makes no difference in our world of Varric, and continue posting the Varric goodness. I noticed no one said anything about the dream I had.
