Well with that avatar it won't be the taint that kills you.

If Jory hadn't been a dummy and pulled his sword on Duncan, I bet he'd have had a fifty/fifty shot of dying from the taint. Instead of, you know, dying on Duncan's sword.

Anyway, more Varric, less non-Varric, please.

Since Varric is already in a trailer, will he still have a character trailer, if there are going to be any character trailers this time around?

Poor Jory. He needed to be taken out of the scene and they didn't want to have him die to the ritual too. I mean, it'd make the perception of the ritual as too deathly for it to be worth it.
Anyway. I don't think "Rise to Power" or the gameplay trailer would count against character trailers. However, I very much doubt that there will be character trailers this time around. They don't have six dead months due to porting this time. As much as I'd like to hear all the characters before playing, I'm doubting we'll be shown much more than what we've already seen. Maybe in the strip from february to march, when the game's gone gold, but I doubt it.

Why would he team up with the seekers to protect Fereldan nobility? Why would the seekers care what happens to backwater oafs?

On the other hand, Varric in a Wolfenstein clone fighting elves would be intriguing.
