I have a question about DLC. I already have a thread about it but still, this is Varric related.
If Varric tells the story of Hawke, how will he do it with DLC? Tell the story of the DLC as well?

He probably tells Cassandra about something that happens during a timeskip.

Cass: So what happened during (timeskip)
Varric:  Hawke rescued a kitten from a tree and destroyed four villages.
Cass:
Varric:  It was hilarious.  See, we were walking through the sewers under the city . . .

"Oh hey, I almost forgot. There was this one time where Hawke partied with the Arishok, good times"
[DLC starts]

Framed narrative is pretty much perfect to make DLC for.

Also doesn't have to work within the framed Narrative, but can use to bridge to DA3 if we're looking at a more direct sequel.

I mentioned this before, but I'd much rather have a couple of really good, really big expansion packs (10-15 hrs would be good for each) that dealt with the aftermath of Cassie finding Hawke...then we have DA3 with a new protagonist (maybe in Orlais he says hopefully! :)

Isn't it Thursday ? We can't let those jock elves take over our Thursdays! :) At least they don't have any Christmas related stuff (although I think that we would have no chance competing with them for Valentine's day!)

Yay, maybe I'll be finally able to conclude or lead up to the morality choice poll in Act 1.

Varric wiped the sweat off his brow, repairing the staircase proved far more difficult than he had anticipated it to be. He had expected the quest to involve killing dozens of monsters, probably save the pretty princess and walk back home with her in his loving arms. Carrying planks up a thousand steps repeatedly had none of these.

Varric would've declined the quest and swam to Ferelden himself if it wasn't for the poor instructions in the game, he'd try to access the menus by shouting random commands but none of them ever worked. He'd swear under his breath and dredge foward, only... 600 planks to go.

As he climbed the stairway feeling faint, he heard Sebastian giggling but couldn't see him past the planks and continued foward, the giggling turned into restrained laughter as he approached him. After arriving to the top, Varric put down the planks and stared at Sebastian's strained face.

"You do know we've been done repairing the staircase for around two hours, right?" Varric looked towards the left of Sebastian and saw a dozen piles of planks, all neatly stacked up. He wondered how he didn't notice but sighed, too tired to be angry at Sebastian for not informing him. Sebastian continued, "Would've told you sooner but it was just too funny and you needed the experience."

Varric was relieved, he could finally stop carrying the planks and can finally relax, maybe kill something while he's cooling off. Sebastian kept giggling as Varric threw the planks down the staircase to continue on his quest, Varric raised a brow.

"What's so funny?"
"Your coat is downstairs."
"Son of a-"

EDIT: (GUESS NOT)

Aimo, I just watched the video and that's amazing. Do you do all that with a mouse? Or is it some type of electronic pad with a digital pencil? I can't draw anything with either one, you should see me try to sign my name on those electronic signature pads at the mall. Anyway, I'm very impressed and amazed.

You know, I was just wondering. With the framed narrative structure and Varric as the narrator, do you think we'll hear him natarring during gameplay? As an example: After accepting a seemingly simple quest, a disembodied voice would go "The Champion couldn't imagine that, what seemed like an easy task at first, would grow so complicated".

See, I have no idea what a tablet is, unless it's a tablet of paper, and a pencil, lol. Not being artistic, I don't know all these cool things or gadgets.

Now if only I could have my Dalish with that lip-smaking dwarf dude the fangirl in me would be satisfied.

*must find 70's style gold donut pendant for husband*

And I love the way aimo draws theDA characters.

Drawing tablets for a computer is essentially a peripheral that looks like a touch pad (like on a laptop) and usually has a stylus or some other mouse like tool that you use to "draw" on that is translated into an art program of some kind. You can even get fairly basic ones now made by Crayola (The Crayon people). There was an SNES game called Mario Paint that had one. I think the Wii has one now as well. Just think of it as all these tools were put together and meant to be for drawing Varric.
