I think it's "working as intended" actually -- the intense eye colours is something that was present in DAO too, and whenever devs casually mention it when they talk about Ladyhawke they make it sound like a highlight they're fond of, not work in progress that's to be corrected.

In the case of Isabela's jewelry, there are shots where it looks properly like gold. In others it's screaming yellow. I can only hope that it's mean to be gold.

Fenris: (sigh) I've asked you to stop calling me that, and I still don't understand why you keep wanting me to shoult "Da Plane! Da Plane!"  I don't even know what a "plane" is.

Varric: We'll talk about that later, but here's the plan.  You advance straight ahead, making sure that you get all the attention off of me.  I don't care how you do it, swing that big sword of yours around, jump up and down, scream like an ape, just make sure that you're the centre of attention.

Fenris: And what will you be doing in the meantime?

Varric:  I'll be sneaking around the flank and will take the enemy from behind.  Once we're done here, we'll meet up in the tavern and start telling our war stories

(Hawkette sticks her head out of the bedroom):  What are you two up to?

(Varric and Fenris in unison):  Nothing dear, we'll be there in a second!  

The only romance dialogue that I'm ever going to write...

Hello, Varric thread. I come to you at a time when the Fenris thread is still rumbling from earlier turmoil and this thread somehow made it to the third page, to bury my head in Varric’s silky chest hair and wait for it to blow over. And share stick Varric and Fenris holding a peace sign under an MS Paint rainbow.

Though I realize it is fail because it does not capture the gloriousness of his chest hair.

And may I add that I cannot wait to have Varric, Fenris and Isabela in my Rogue Hawke’s party. We will take over Kirkwall with the power of The Smirk.

Aye, but it seems to be over now. But I didn't come here to talk about that. *Snuggles in chest hair*

Varric's second unique outfit might be something a little heavier, l'm hoping it's chainmail. (Is there a light chainmail out there that's ideal for rogues?). Hawke got an upgrade to a chest plate, so did Fenris. Bethany got chainmail, and I'm sure Aveline got some sort of an upgrade too.

I think Varric has to be fast on his feet. He's an archer, so he needs to remain a distance away from his enemy. I'm guessing if he doesn't have to worry about getting hit, then he'll be wearing something of a light armor. Maybe he never changes his clothes.

I'm sure I saw her wearing it in Kirkwall too, in that first gameplay vid?  But yes, I meant the apron. I always figured she started with the robes and got the chainmail on the way to Kirkwall, but I realize now it's probably different outfits due to exaggerated/non-exaggerated scenes.

I thought of chainmail because I recently saw that Robin Hood movie - he seems to have no trouble doing badass archer stuff in a hauberk.

Question that's probably been asked; where do you think Varric stands on the D&D morality scale?
