Anyway. In the first Varric thread, there was a joke that Varric would fight while in the stone chair and it would levitate when he needed to walk.

I'll level with you: I was mostly joking because I believe a dev stated Varric plays a role in DA3, which (generally) means he should be alive.

I still want to see Bianca come to the rescue though...

When was this brought up have they already started planning for DA3?

@Enforcer: I think one of the translated (and thus suspect) interviews had Mark Darrah or someone high-up saying "Cassandra doesn't have a big role in DA2, but she will in DA3. Varric may as well."
