Based off the recoil that you can see in the Destiny? trailer (the groin shot one) I bet Bianca can literally launch Varric up into the air.

You see, normally, I would agree with you. But after I saw the latest dev video "The Story," it seems to me that, for MHawke: the LIs will be, Merrill (virginal girl next door), Isabella (has been all but confirmed), and (I am really hoping) Aveline because of the brief, yet possibly suggestive dialogue between her and Hawke seen in the vid.

Therefore, if MHawke has three LI options, one being a homosexual option for FHawke, it would be only logical to think that Mystery Human Male, Varric and Fenris are the LI choices for the ladies.....which would be.......amazing.

And if not, then I will be filled with this:





I don't know quite what to say about Mr. Mark  Darrah's quote.  I have never actually read the actual quote, so I am still weary of its legitimacy.  However, as always, I am hopeful for the future...

^^^ This. I'm married to a fella who's... quite a bit shorter than me. Has not been a problem. When you're horizontal, it's really not noticeable at all. Plus, there's something hilarious about a guy being able to just walk up and motorboat without having to bend down. lol

But I'll stop now. At any rate, even if Varric is (alas) not a LI, that's why we have imaginations and/or fanfiction, right?

My girlfriend's quite a bit shorter than me, and I prefer it that way. I've always been taller than most everyone I was attracted to. In high school, I briefly dated a guy who was a little under a foot shorter than me. No big. (I'm 6', so it's not like he was 4'6 or anything.)

It's all about PERSONALITY. And even if it wasn't, Varric is one hot dwarf.

Just a theory, but in the new making of trailer Varric is telling Hawke's story at knifepoint.

While telling his tale, instead of placing the woman he loves in danger, Varric glosses over some of the major details of his relationship with Hawke, and only drops subtle hints that something develops between them. At the very end (hopefully Hawke frees Varric) the full extent of their relationship is revealed.

I know Im the minority in this, but I see Cassie as someone acting on a limited timetable and needing to get the answers she needs in any way she can (which accounts for her behaviour towards V). She's smart enough to not dip into out and out torture (knows that the "interviewee" will only give you the info that they think you want), so has to balance that carrot with the stick.



Just thinking though, if you go the rivalry path with V, you're (Hawke) are going to have to have a need for V yourself if the plan is for you act as the cavalry

Cassandra: (placing pressure on dagger) Are you sure that's your final answer?

(the templar picks Varric up and walks out the door, once the pair make it safely out into the streets of Kirkwall, the templar kisses Varric.)

Varric: What did I tell you my dear, the Mirror of Transformation does good work, that Chantry girl didn't even recognize you. Now, let's get to the Emporium and change you back, I miss seeing your sunny smile.

Hawke: (annoyed) I'll give you a sunny smile. You almost got yourself killed with that performance you gave back there. Seeing the man I love killed in front of me was not apart of the plan.

Varric: I was never in any danger sweetheart, being House Tethras' master of spies mean that under this dashing exterior lies an extraordinary sense of caution. Besides, with what we got from Lady Stabbity back there my people can find out what is going on with the Chantry. Now could you please put me down?

Hawke: No, I think that I'll just keep carrying you around the whole of Kirkwall, someone has to keep you out of trouble.

Varric: Did I ever tell you that being your personal source of trouble is the best thing that ever happened to me?

Hawke: (smiling) You could stand to mention it more.

(the two continue down the streets of Kirkwall)

I lost interest in the Fenris thread once it started to get the same sort of treatment that certain other fan gush threads get. It makes me very uncomfortable. And many of them aren't exactly nice regarding the other companions, as if the whole game is about Fenris.

But anyway.. I'm hoping we'll get some flirtatious dialogue with Varric even if he isn't a LI.

Well, on the topic of Fenris romance, I picture it requiring a very patient and understanding Hawke who's willing to let Fen take the initiative on the touching thing and to move things at a speed he'd be comfortable with.



If you're not that type of Hawke, you can just go romance Anders or possibly Varric, who would be hanging around outside with giant "touch me!" signs around their necks. Hah, I those two.
