A-men, my dwarven sister. On all points, including the Hobbit one. It really grinds my gears, the fact that racial diversity is so present in this universe, but it's so, so very biased. Varric wouldn't be a potential LI if he was human. Oh, no. He'd be a definite LI. No one would have any doubts in their mind whatsoever if Varric was human with the same personality, general character archetype, and sense of style. And that just plain frustrates me.

So I'm going to be over here. Frustrated.

As many have mentioned, it seems Isabela, Varric, Merril, some guy (or Anders), Aveline, Fenris are featured.

That being said, their role must be pretty important in the tale of the champion... So if ALL of them lasting companions are romanceable, I'm not complaining XP

Sheryl has repeatedly said you don't have to romance Isabela, have her as a companions, or even meet her. I'm guessing that the 'hexagons' are filled in as we play at that image comes from the very end.

The image we see is from a specific game and doesn't necessarily mean that everyone will get those companions or that image.

However... it looked like Varric was just starting his tale and the hexagons had a lot of people. Still, I remember Pantless Chee saing that we don't need to talk to Isabela.

Is this why the Ostagar battle plan failed? I think the beacon fire was too dim for Loghain to see it. So much for Grey Wardens. All they really needed was either Varric with glowing chest hair or Isabela with glowing cheeks. With both you could send signal light messages between them by opening and closing a jacket or taking pants on or off. Its so simple.

Before she took to the sea, Isabela worked at as a lighthouse. She got tired of swinging around a pole all day though and so took up a life of murder and robbery.

Well, they did do an April Fools day spoof trailer for DA:O, so I suppose it  is plausable to get a Valentine's day themed one for DA2. 

Now if they really wanted to create tears of despair and agony (I hear the price of Bioware fuel is going up due to speculators), they'd do it like one of those dating game things where they have a line up of bachleor/bachleorettes but they black all the LI's out, alter their voices and never say anything to give them away.  Okay, maybe thats a bit over the top.  I think my Brain is on miss-fire mode right now...
