I don't think I've ever witnessed such an obscene amount of fanart for a single charcter in a game that hasn't even been released yet.

To be honest, I would be very surprised if Varric turns out not to be an LI.  I mean, come on..why would you be broadcasting all of that wonderful chest hair, only for Varric to say: "Go ahead ladies--drink it in--lookin's for free, but touchin's off limits." Did he? I missed that part... Anyway, I had this same thought that the guy was Jowan. And since it seems that Marian Hawke is speaking to someone performing blood magic in her latest screenshot, it makes a person wonder...

You gotta admit you're enjoying the artwork as much as we are... Besides dedicated fans and talented artists, this thread attracts quite a variety of devs as well...

Well, it would make a nice way to continue his story and to bring in the blood mage specialisation.  Granted he would have to show up 2 years into DA2 because of the time issues.  Off topic, Yuki, what happened to your cute dwarf?

That's really interesting...I wonder if that means that only Varric is a necessary ("not optional" for lack of a better term) recruit, where everyone else is optional?
