I don't think I've ever witnessed such an obscene amount of fanart for a charcter in a game that hasn't even been released yet.

To be honest, I would be very surprised if Varric turns out not to be an LI. I mean, come on..why would you be broadcasting all of that wonderful chest hair, only for Varric to say: "Go ahead ladies--drink it in--lookin's for free, but touchin's off limits." It would be madness I tell you! Madness!!

Before she took to the sea, Isabela workedatas a lighthouse. She got tired of swinging around a pole all day though and so took up a life of murder and robbery.
We need fanart of this!

has anyone thought that the male mage "Anders" character may, in fact, be Jowan? Blood mage on the run, meets up with a group of refugees if you let him live... I hope not because he annoyed the crap out of me, but it seems more likely to me?
Now THAT would be really interesting..particularly in light of Jowan supposedly playing a bigger role in the first game before it got cut down...

Did he? I missed that part... Anyway, I had this same thought that the guy was Jowan. And since it seems that Marian Hawke is speaking to someone performing blood magic in her latest screenshot, it makes a person wonder...

Also, adorable elfie. Did you try making one with DA2 proportions as well? I did that today but it doesn't seem to be planning on uploading in the near future.

You gotta admit you're enjoying the artwork as much as we are...
@foxtrotcharlie I am pleased we have such an optimistic supporter like yourself!
Everyone... Take your Jowan vs Anders debate over to the Anders thread (then possibly get attacked, who knows XP).
This. Is. Tethras! thread. (effect is lost)

Jowan is possibly the worst suggestion ever, lol.
Well, it would make a nice way to continue his story and to bring in the blood mage specialisation. Granted he would have to show up 2 years into DA2 because of the time issues. Off topic, Yuki, what happened to your cute dwarf?

Sheryl has repeatedly said you don't have to romance Isabela, have her as a companions, or even meet her. I'm guessing that the 'hexagons' are filled in as we play at that image comes from the very end.
The image we see is from a specific game and doesn't necessarily mean that everyone will get those companions or that image.
Those are a list of Cassandra's suspects. Not necessarily Hawke's best buddies. Isabela has an important role to play in the story, even if you never meet her. You just won't find out the answer to a particular question at a certain time if you don't.

So is the book sort of an investigation diary or scrapbook she's kept?

"These are head shots, sir."
"But they were really big."
"That's not helping me paint a likeness of her face."
"You'll have an easier time getting people to identify her if you paint a bust. Seriously."

That's really interesting...I wonder if that means that only Varric is a necessary ("not optional" for lack of a better term) recruit, where everyone else is optional?
On a somewhat different topic: Obi-Wan Kirby, you are aware that we're offering you Reese for confirmation of V's status as a possible love interest, right?
