lol, poor Cassandra.

edit: suspect she'd stand up and get in the second round, though.

But of course! Then Varric will have the best seat in the house

@hhh89: Thank you! Glad you like my Aeducan art :)

edit: Pokemon references are lost on me ToT

Pokemon is good fun. Yes, I still believe this at 23, same as when I was 11.

Off topic but did anyone else's school get so obsessed with trading pokemon cards that they banned them? That was a sad day :(

Varric could talk someone into giving him a shiny Mew for two charmanders.

Yes. My mom was a teacher, and when she'd take them from her students she would give them to us if they didn't get them back after a week xD We had a lot of Pokemon cards...

Imagining Pokemon card trader Varric is giving me lulz.

I don't know if it was already discussed (in this case I apologize) but what do you think about the fact that Varric doesn't have a long beard? I personally think that is a good think, he looks as on another level in confront of the beardless dwarf in DAO. (I'm talking about the facial structure).
I said something like that in Fenris thread, but I don't want to go OT, so I make the question here ;)

@aimo: I like this artwork. In rtruth, I love ALL of your wark, especially all the Noble Dwarf artworks :)

I like the fact that he doesn't have a long beard (once again going against stereotype in fantasy of "all companion dwarves must have long beards").  Granted, it's been a while since I've last played, but if I remember correctly, most surface dwarves (at least those born on the surface) tended to be clean shaven, while those who came to the surface tended to retain a semblance of facial hair.  Im not sure if it's because they grew up in the less "furry" culture of the surface or if it goes back to that old "beard = status" stereotype, with surfacers being lower on the totem pole (I seem to remember a lot of dusters being cleaner shaven)

I like how trading had nothing to do with stats or effectiveness in the actual card game. THIS ONE HAS FIRE FOR HAIR AND IS MORE AWESOME. CLEARLY WORTH MORE.

Nostalgiaaaa.

No, there are some dwarf in Orzammar without beard, or with a short beard, and there are upsiders dwarves with beard (Bodhan).

"Varric's House of Cards" has a nice ring to it. Not your usual dwarf house.
but i'm playing Persona 3 atm, so picturing him more like the inhabitant of the Velvet Room Posted Image

Lol, VarrIgor! Who is Elizabeth? Cassandra? Random wench? Or maybe he has a Theo, in which case Fenris is probably the perfect candidate.

Then I guess that makes the Warden the super-speshal chosen one?

"So, i was thinking. Alistair + Leliana + Isabela..."
"Hmm... that is an interesing combination..."

Uber late Legend of Varric, I'll be trying a different style to make it easier to write and explore it quickly. Would like to be done before DA8 launches. Tell me if you prefer this format or the other one, this is just "testing" it out.

Incoming people saying it's dumbed down.

Scene: Tumble in the Tower.
They are now at the top of the tower after reparing the staircase, strange flowers and vines surround the room and dusty furniture litters the room. Enter Varric and Sebastian.

Sebastian: This is her room, these... these are her things.
Varric: Isn't that a little obvious? Who else would be using them?
Sebastian: I know that, it's just... they are unused, covered in dust.
Varric: Could she have left?
Sebastian: No, there was no other way out of this room beside the balcony. Could she have...?
Varric: Doubt it, she's a scripted sequence. [jumping on the bed] This is pretty comfortable.
Sebastian: What are you doing?
Varric: She's probably up there on the balcony waiting for us to enter the room, why not sleep?
Sebastian: She needs our help!
Varric: She'll still need our help in a thousand years, your point? We can rest here, recover our HP and Mana and then go up fully rested. [tapping on the spot beside him] It's comfortable!
Sebastian: ... I guess you have a point. [sits down on the bed]
[fade to dark for a few seconds and then it brightens back up with Varric and Sebastian out of bed]
Sebastian: We shall never speak of that night ever again.
Varric: Got ya.
Sebastian: ... can we go to my daughter now?
Varric: Yeah, whatever. [looking around] Have you seen my coat?
Sebastian: We'll find it later, let's deal with my daughter now.
[Varric keeps looking around as they leave towards the balcony, fade to black]

Varric is dangerously genre savvy.

I like that format better. Gets to the lulz faster, probably faster for you to write.

And the resulting persona is Mara (look it up if you haven't seen it, true lulz will be had).

Oh my god!  The new format is dumded down!! :)   I like it, helps the flow a little more (and I REALLY want to know what happened to the coat! :)

Oh, did mean to ask...did we miss the moral choice you were talking about in the previous installment?

Edited to add:  I have no idea what happened to the colours after I quoted it...

NOPE.

I hope to get to it with this new format a lot faster than before, I've got a lot of ground to cover. I'll make a poll for it soon (when we get into the context of the scene) and I'll post it.

As for the format, while I like the new format, which is easier for you to write?

This one, I'm no writer (and it shows) so the previous one just feels like I'm filling up with useless stuff and there's only so many ways to make a character sigh.
