What reason? I'm curious.

At "well-equipped" I thought: woot? Why would they say that about a woman- for the few split seconds it took for me to absorb the rest of that sentence. So yeah, my mind takes me to strange placesPosted Image.

@Dhiro I did think this place seemed less active than usual.

Oh. My guess was that you thought that "my dwarf' was actually "penis".

Wait, what? Posted Image

Yeah, no language barrier for this one. When I said "hands off my dwarf", my LadyHawke literally means for Cassandra to keep her book-throwing, slappy little paws off of my Varric. Or bad things shall befall her. Posted Image

It is, indeed! <3 I love Morgause.

But, yeah, I think our chances for having Varric as an LI aren't any greater or smaller than anyone else's chances at this point. I wouldn't discount the option just yet.

Me too! She's so cool, except when she killed Cendred, one less eyecandy for Dhiro (Shirtless!Arthur made everything better). Morganna got... strange, after going to the evil side. HER IS A EVIL SMIRK.

Anyway...

Yes, let's hope for a Varric LI. Even if he's not the S/S LI, I will rejoice anyway

Oddly, I think I'll enjoy the relationship with Varric more as a male Hawke than as Lady Hawke. He strikes me as the kind of guy that's awesome as a friend.

You know... I'm confuse. Confuse and lost. What do I like? Varric? Or the chest hair? Varric is awesome or the chest hair makes him awesome? My vision is being colored by the awesome chest hair or Varric is simply the best dwarf ever? The chest hair makes Varric what he is or is the chest hair nothing but a part of Varric's awesomness? I... I... I DON'T KNOW.

PS: You're amazing, Snowtigress <3

Don't forget Bianca.
Besides, since Varric is a dwarf, he automatically classifies as awesome. The chest hair further cements it.

All right, O Esteemed Artists of the Varric Thread...

Was reading another thread about companion clothing and ran across someone joking about Varric in an argyle sweater vest. Couldn't stop giggling. Since we've had a few distinguished fanarts of Varric with reading glasses, does anyone else think it'd be hilarious to see him in such attire... maybe polishing Bianca or something?

I'd make it happen, but -- alas -- my drawing skills never surpassed the 3rd grade level.

Also, he's probably not a LI and I'll be stuck with Fenris.

Non, Non, Non.  There will no negative thinking here, my friend.  ;)

I trust we are going to get some Varric goodness soon--perhaps this week? :o

Mmmmmm...Bianca. Would love to see a picture of her

As for the argyle, wouldn't that be redundant with the chest hair? :)

What about argyle-patterned chest hair? Maybe Varric has some dye laying around.

Mary, if you're lurking or are lurking in the near future, I was wondering if the open shirted chestliness was something you had in mind as you were writing and suggested to the concept artist Varric's esteemed clothier, or something he came up with?

After watching the bared cleavage of Isabela over and over again, I'm sure Mary and the other devs looked across the table and asked one another "Yes but what about the girls?"

And they produced a gorgeous chest for us.

Then again I really like my imaginary scenario in which the Evul Arteests for some un-artist-ly reason, decided they didn't want to draw chest hair, and Mary had to fight tooth and nail by staging one person sit-ins and cookie thefts in order to get them to expose his manly bosom.

Bioware seems to be pretty good these days about fairly distributing fanservice. As far as I can tell it's a matter of the audience not percieving men in tight outfits as being equatable in terms of "revealing-ness" or "skank-itude" to a woman in the same. But that's a topic for elsewhere.

HAH!!!

Dev 1: "Dood my chocolate chip cookies are gone again!"
Mary: "Dood. The gods are angry. Only way we can fix this is by exposing Varric's chest."
Dev 1: "Wait. How will that solve anyth-"
Mary: "TRUST. TRUST ME."
Dev 1: "...."
Mary: "...."
Dev 1: "....Your reasoning is fair."
Mary: "OHMIGAWD! I found a chocolate chip cookie behind this couch! The gods are satisfied."

Dude. Beautiful. Beautiful.
