E peen? We're too classy for that sort of thing.

Okay, not really.

Anyway, it's the week before February. I'm so very much hoping to see some video with Varric and Lady Hawke, showing off some banter and maybe a little romance, too.

I'd also like to see this as wellPosted Image

Thanks so much for the welcome!

I've gotta say, I'm kinda curious about the whole nickname concept. I mean, "Hawke," "Champion," "brother/sister" are a given. It'd be interesting to see if Varric or your other companions will change what they call you depending on your dominant personality or whether you're a friend/rival. Maybe we'll see that in a Hawke-centered video too, at some point?

Like Varric calling Hawke, "Freckles" even though she has no freckles on her face?

Mm... it's been said that Varric's narration changes if you have him in the party, correct? I seem to recall hearing that and people seem to smile and nod when I ask them about it, though I can't remember where to find the source.

^ No need to check. I'll be bringing him everywhere anyway, and will be telling myself I am clearly getting a better experience for doing so.

I wonder what impact pursuing friendship or rivalry will have with Varric.

That's what I'll be doing too, though I'd like to see if I'll be considering to remove him from my party eventually in a future playthrough once or I'll never remove him ever.

If he isn't in the party, I guess he sends his squad of spies to peep observe Hawke and report back to him for the future narration to have relevant details.

This is starting to sound like the telephone game :P

Either way, I think Varric will add a great deal of flavor to the mix. In my opion, you can never have too much "spice".

If you're close to death, the spies come down and help you kill the enemies and then blank out your memory with the Men-in-Black's Neuralyzers to make Hawke not suspicious.

I think Varric was in my absolutely insane dream last night. And then some Livestream moments. This guy had to climb a Tibetan/Mayan hybrid temple built into a mountain only to find his supposed nemesis had gotten there first, but she had laid out broken glass and by the time he got around it she'd gone. I think she had freaky alien henchmen who lead him into this room where the door locked behind him and they poofed out of existence and all the other doors in the room were locked, but there was a downwards spiral staircase with a gate. He thought it was an invisible waist-high fence, but fortunately it wasn't, so he leapt over it and went a long ways down the stairs before ending up in the deep roads where there was a Dunkin Donuts and a roaring fire in front of which Varric was standing.

...I don't even know.

California: Ah yes, "Dunkin Donuts." We have dismissed that claim.

So sad :(

BTW, the proper term is "flashy-thingies".

I think that they will change. When your warden was getting to know Alistair, his responses changed, especially if you were in a relationship with him. It went from "What do you want?" to "Yes, my love?" when clicking from party member to party member, and "Something you need, my dear?" when going to a cutscene for conversation.

I should think the reason for that is both obvious and completely not-weird.

Especially the part "I'm too sexy for this shirt".
Varric's shirt clearly understands this and kinda tries to "slip" away thus revealing his mighty chest hair filled chest.
Did that make any sense?

Now you have me picturing Varric strutting down a catwalk on his little woobie legs, with his jacket flung over one shoulder... And he's doing a little turn, gives a wink, a smirkish grin, a pelvic thrust, then turns and struts back up the catwalk...

So magical.

Varric looks nothing like a dwarf. He looks like an ugly short human. I hate Bioware for making him look like that.

Is it because he's beardless?
