Does anyone have that first uggo screenshot so we can compare it against the NAIL EXAMINING FINGER STEEPLING MARVEL WE HAVE BEFORE US NOW?

I made this one, too, but it's much smaller so it could fit on Tumblr. Also, she means the old screenshot from the German con ages ago.

I'm trying to find the image, but it'll take some speluking.

Quick note- does anyone remember the first screenshots we got of Varric, and how he was a pasty, squareheaded yob with a weirdly small mouth, and how the Bioware crew told us that that was totally how he was going to look ALL THE TIME and that the lighting was just different?
Does anyone have that first uggo screenshot so we can compare it against the NAIL EXAMINING FINGER STEEPLING MARVEL WE HAVE BEFORE US NOW?
Does this help?

Or this?

I must say, we've gone a long way from that to what we have now. The crunch seems to have paid off.

That little eyebrow quirk really gets to me. So fantastic.
(Also, I have to say I'm really impressed by the little dust motes floating around behind him... way to pay attention to detail, guys!

Long time coming post, I've seen this a lot through the months and now with all these new screenshots (which seem to focus a lot on Varric, thank you the people who are responsible! I'd hug you if I could.) there seems to be a lot of anti-Varric romance posts around. I'm preaching the choir but I'm doing it anyway and this might not make sense because of the frustration that motivates them.

*Big dwarven hug*
Some of the negativity is panic at the thought that their chosen LI may not make the cut now that Anders is revealed and it's assumed that there'll be a human LI for both genders, which leaves room for only one more. You've seen time and time again that people will throw tantrums and scathing statements when they don't know anything about anything, much less give things a chance. And you've seen the writers/dev stand firm. What really matters is if the writers want to write a dwarf romance and if they do, it becomes a matter of when. It is very obvious by the writing and resources they've put into the dwarven lore that they really like their dwarves. The first dwarf fan thread reached over 500 pages discussing dwarf codexes, npcs, and social structure alone before it got locked. Very few posts were fluff or off-topic. For a long time, the elves or humans didn't have anything like that. When it comes to love interests, there weren't really any dwarves that stood out strong enough to be "OMG I'D HIT THAT" -- we had Gorim, but he was limited to a smaller audience. And then there's Oghren as a companion waving the banner for male dwarves. Yeaaaaah. Name one dwarf female character that was memorable and wasn't insane like Branka or Hespith. I saw a lot of people perk up with Sigrun in Awakening -- they just loved her. Her personality won them over. We just need to have more characters like that for people to be exposed to and their minds will follow! If Varric is not a love interest for DA2, by the Maker, he will certainly be leading the calvary as the dwarven fan base continues to grow into the next game.

Lovely pictures, Aimo, but why you always gotta draw Carver with that one errant chest hair?
You got to know a guy with Carver's physique waxes his chest. And possibly other parts, but I'd rather not speculate on that.
Because Varric is teaching him how to Be a Man, but Carver has only achieved level 1 chest hair growth. Plus, it's hilarious.
