Haha I think I'm actually pretty crap at drawing Anders so far. His nose is very much a Pseudo family nose so I think I draw it smaller to avoid the likeness, or something. /random

But I uploaded a sliiightly altered version to avoid confusion.

Hooray, more artwork and more Varric! It's great to see how he's progressed from his awesome fanart to his Jabba-like appearance behind Mr. Laidlaw and then to his current golden self. In fact, I made a little comparison thing to show how he's changed, though I couldn't find many good pictures to use so it's a little rough looking.

I think mugshot Varric and handsome Varric are the exact same model. The lighting just works a heck of a lot better. Gives the model some depth? The old picture with he blueish lighting made Varric's chin and neck into an amorphous blob. The chin sticks out now with the purty lighting.

I don't know, his chin seems smaller and more chiselled... And his nose seems a little more... Rounded, I guess, at the tip. And his eyebrows seem more defined. *shrug* It's amazing to me that lighting can make that much of a difference.

I really don't think that's all lighting. He's been thinned out and had his proportions adjusted, plus his jawline, brows, cheekbones and nose all look different to me.

I'd say his nose and chin have been changed the most. Especially his old nose, since it somehow looked angry. Er, by angry I mean that it looked like he was snarling. Varric doesn't snarl, he growls like a manly nug.

I was looking at the Xbox achievements, and I'm starting to think... Maybe all of the party members are romanceable, save for Bethany and Carver. Just because of how the achievements are worded.

I've been entertaining this theory as well. For a while I felt like it had been shot down by David Gaider's comment that "No, not all of the companions will be romanceable" but he loves throwing tricky little wrenches into our gears. That statement would still be valid considering Bethany/Carver.

So, I'm holding out for a yes on this one. First of all, it would just be fantastic to have Varricmance, and secondly, I think it's way more realistic to be able to fall for anyone, especially over such a long period of time.

I wonder if David was including temporary companions when he made that statement and that all "permanent" companions (excluding siblings) could be romance-able. I would really love Varric to be a romance. I'm sure it would be an interesting ride.

That's why I feel like the six of them will be options. Usually there's a permanent companion or two or three who's obviously not going to be an LI. Like Oghren, Wynne, Sten, or Justice. Here? We don't.. really.. have any in DA2.

If your brother or sister were interested in you, that would be... Creepy...

So yes.  Not all the companions will be interested in Hawke.

I think I read somewhere (wish I could remember where) that are were the same number of LIs.
